The Swingin' Door is a new one on Mr. Sothoth - not a dive bar, but a dive pub! Located on a gritty block in the endless ghastliness that is downtown (?) San Mateo, the Swingin' Door is packed with British atmosphere. Excellent casual place for drinks; the bar food, from what we experience, runs to fried cheese and the like.
