The fairpark can handle large banquet events and more. This is where they hold the Santa Barbara County Fair.

Between the Strawberry Festival, the County Fair, and all of the events they host it is consistently well run and the employees genuinely care about your experience.

Thank god I have endured my last county fair at this place. There isn't enough room here to list all that is wrong with this place.The fact that they required kids to take an ethics class before they could enter their animals and then not set up enough pens is bad enough, but then to be told to put5 lambs into each 6'x6' pen really pushes it. (Maybe the staff should go to an ethics class.) Honestly, you have months to figure out how many pens are needed, do we need to have a math class?Joe Brengle, Deputy Manager seems really adept at avoiding issue when they are brought to his attention, as well as throwing out phrases like "aging facility" (about the lack of maintenance) and "fresh set of eyes" (regarding the lack of marking around drains that are trip hazards and water leaks that have not been taken care of). Maybe if he spent more time walking around the property he could freshen his eye a little.Then to top things off, during a drought you have facets in the restrooms that have been leaking for months? (We are not talking about a drip, this is facets that will not turn off.) Then to find the hose bib that has been missing the handle for over 2 years is still missing the handle the kids are forced to fill buckets from a 2" water pipe? Does anyone actually walk the facility? Maybe someone could do something about the drains in the lamb barn? (Seriously, when the kids and their parents can put things together that take care of the clogging issue, don't you feel a little "foolish" that you can't?)Looking around makes one wonder why anyone (or any organization) would give them money to build new facilities, when it is quite apparent they have no clue how to perform or schedule maintenance (there's a concept for you, "scheduled maintenance"). If they can't replace $2.00 hose bibs and put new washers into the facets (and at this point possibly spend $30.00 for a new facet since so many people have wrenched on the handle to try to stop the water flow).I could go on, but by now I think you get the point (and hopefully have stopped reading).I also feel that our entry fees should have been refunded due to a lack of service as well as what we were put through when we brought our animals in (and having the person in charge hiding in the office just makes everyone more on edge).
