let me preface this by saying that I don't drink and visited Cinnabar with a group of my business colleagues on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. That being said, the group enjoyed the wine and had both flights of tastings. They did prefer the Reserve list. They passed on the port but the staff gladly substituted another wine for them. There were groups of regulars and people were constantly popping in and out. So what did a non-drinker do for 3 hours (my friends did enjoy the wine)? I had a Pellegrino tasting of different flavor of sparkling water.Something for everyone!

I am generally not a fan of offsite winery tasting rooms. I want the experience of the winery and these types of places don't have that kind of experience. With that in mind, I still enjoyed my brief visit here. The staff was friendly, the ambiance relaxed, and the wines were pretty good. This is a nice place for a brief visit while in the area,

My husband and I took our dog to "yappy hour" at Cinnabar (first Thursdays 5 to 7 p.m.) and found it pleasant, friendly, and relaxing. We shared a bottle of wine and a cheese plate, and the dog got a free goodie bag. The patio was full, everyone had a dog, and the dogs AND people all got along. It was warm and welcoming, with some conversation between tables. All calm and relaxed and low-key. I thought twice about writing this review because I want to be able to get a table the next time we go!

We have been members at Cinnabar for over 5 years. We recently chose to deactivate our membership, as the experience isn't as great as it used to be. With their tasting room being a short distance away from our house, we were able to get to know the staff and get to know their wines. We've visited twice in the past few months, and the service in the tasting room has declined extremely. We once left without finishing our tasting, and the staff didn't seem to care. Crazy part is that the room wasn't even crowded! When I called to cancel our membership, they didn't even seem to care to have lost a long time member. I am extremely disappointed. With other options nearby, I would highly suggest trying those options.

I've been a fan of Cinnabar wines for a long time. Delicious wines, hand-crafted, representing the best of the thriving local winemaking scene. And their Saratoga tasting room doesn't disappoint. Very pleasant interior, friendly people who really know their wines. On certain evenings they transform the place from a tasting room into more of a wine bar, including great live music. Whether you're a local or visiting from out of town, don't miss the Cinnabar Winery tasting room in downtown Saratoga.

Definitely stop here if you are out tasting at Ridge, Testarossa or other Saratoga wineries, or ahead of dinner at Basin or Sent Sovi or a concert at Mountain Winery. Nearly every tasting room has a counter and someone to talk about the wine, but they are rarely places where you might linger. This in-town tasting room is an exception, with streetside tables when the room gets too crowded or simply if the weather is nice (and this is California, after all) and you want to relax a little. With easygoing stewards who know and love the wine, the vineyards and the label's heritage, and a fair $10 for six pours, this is a great place to wrap up the afternoon and a nice change from counters where wine tasting feels like an assembly line.
