Cinelux Cinema is tucked away in the back of the Kings Village Shopping Center. I really like this place.The theaters are comfortable. The chairs have arms that swing up and down and have cup holders on both sides of the chair. The seats are banked nicely so you get a good view of the screen. (The only place I won't sit is in the bank of seats closest to the screen because it strains my neck.) Get there about 15 minutes early so you get a good seat.Tickets can be purchased online or at the theater. If you want to reserve a seat, go online and pay the extra four dollars. I've only done that once, and it wasn't necessary, but with a very popular movie on a Friday night or on the weekends, you might think about it. There's a ticket booth with an outdoor window at the front of the theater. If no one is there, you buy your ticket at the concession counter in the lobby. You can choose a theater seat from a diagram on their computer screen. This reserves your seat for you. Then it's time to buy food!There are the usual concessions which are pricey, but if the popcorn is calling your name, you go for it. You can get the usual candy and nachos. There's also a little cafe at the far end of the theater. They have appetizers, sandwiches, salads, desserts, beer and wine. Slushies! It's a small casual spot, but the food is pretty good.I have seen quite a few movies in this cinema and enjoyed the experience every time. The advertising and previews can take ten minutes, but I kind of enjoy that part. This gives me a chance to talk with my companion for awhile. (I will admit that I like to go early to watch the local advertisements just because they are somewhat humorous.) I've gone to movies alone here, which says a lot about how much I enjoy the theater.The theater has matinees which will save you money on your admission. If you go to cineluxtheatres.com and sign up for the free email, you can get coupons. The theater will host private parties. I'm a movie buff who has been in a lot of theaters. This one is good.
