Lovely ride on a deluxe vintage Pullman car. Entertainment and fantastic meal and complimentary drinks!
Finally the date arrived to leave for the Reno Fun train it was going to be our 27th year of marriage my b-day Feb 21,my wife's March 10 valentine's day all in one package and we had a great time plan on doing it again Thank You to everyone for a great time
Always a great trip. Music, dancing, singing! Meet Elvis and Marilyn for some good fun entertainment and before you know it you are traveling thru a winter wonderland. Food could be better, but the bar scene is great.
Very relaxing, and so beautiful ! The train is very clean ,and there are many cars to walk around in, all you have to is just sit back and enjoy the "Breath Taking View" you feel as though you have gone back in time!
If you want a fun filled two days, the snow train is the way to go. They have on board entertainment (Elvis and Marilyn Monroe), music, dome car, and your lunch is served to you at your seat. There is a personal assistant for your car to make sure you have what you need. The train runs only February through the second week of March Tuesday thru Thursday. The rest of the year it runs Friday thru Sunday every weekend which is known as the fun train and is also lots of fun. We love this trip as you see parts of the Sierras that you will never see from your car. It's worth every second.
Roll through the magnificent Sierra Nevada Mountains on your private train to Reno. Enjoy Elvis Impersonator, the dance car with a live band and singing 60's songs with the guitar player. You will appreciate the attentive cheerful service, excellent lunch served at your seat, a drink at the bar and climb to the Dome Car for a peaceful unimpeded view of snowy scenery. This mid-week trip begins in San Francisco, Emeryville, Richmond, Martinez, Davis or Sacramento. Using Amtrak rails, the private train gets into Reno about 6 pm. Two nights and one day to enjoy Harrah's Car Museum, lounge shows, restaurants, bowling convention center, Wilbur D. May Museum, Nevada Art Museum, the Truckee River Walk and, of course, gambling. All the same pleasures on the return trip, arriving in S F Bay Area 5:30 pm. Enjoyed by senior groups but appealing to individuals as well. The Reno Fun Train runs on the weekend for a younger, livelier crowd. Reasonably priced. We had a fabulous experience on this outing!
