Bridalveil Falls is great because it is so beautiful and pretty much ANYONE can do it. I think it is less than half a mile, paved trail and your right up to the front of the waterfall. Although this is incredibly easy, it doesn't mean it is not incredibly spectacular, as with all things Yosemite. If it is your first time coming to Yosemite, this would DEFINITELY be a place that you would want to stop. This, I would say, is one of the main tourist spots for a first timer.

Not the most impressive of the falls in Yosemite, but very nice to visit. You can see it up close and maybe get a little mist from it at the right season. Fairly short walk on paved ground. Another good view of it can be seen driving out of the park.

Fun falls that sometimes can be landing in the parking lot! Other times its a mist that is well tamed. Either way don't miss this spot.

It's one of the few falls in the park that does NOT rely on snowmelt, so although the flow may vary, it will flow year-round. It's the first waterfall you see when you drive into Yosemite Valley. The walk from the parking lot is short and nearly flat, so it's very easy to get to the base of the falls. Once you're there, you'll see plenty of signs reminding everyone NOT to climb over the rails to the large rocks/boulders at the very bottom of the waterfall...you'll then see a bunch of people climbing over the rails to the large rocks/boulders at the very bottom of the waterfall. Like most attractions in Yosemite Valley, parking can be very difficult to find during the summer, the busiest time for tourists. It's nowhere near as powerful and impressive as Yosemite Falls (at least in the spring/early summer, when Yosemite Falls flows heaviest). Still, I stop at Bridalveil Fall every time I visit the park, and it's always lovely.

when water is full it is beautiful, this time it was just a streak, however there are plenty of rocks to climb and there is bridge to walk across, can also walk under the falls and it feels good

Bridal Veil is a thin ribbon of water that only flows heavily during the winter and early spring runoff. For much of the year there is not much there. The walk to the base of the falls is very short so it is easy to get to although for a really great view, I recommend the short hike up Old Big Oak Flat Road. Cross the first two small slide areas and you will be rewarded with an amazing view of the falls, El Capitan, Half Dome and many other Valley landmarks.Nearby is the Valley loop trail that is a bit more than 19 miles if you do the whole thing. It is gentle and walkable and it is easy to just pick a section of the length that you want to walk and get off when you are done or double back.

Late winter or early spring is the best time to see Bridal Veil Falls because the water run-off is much better. By summer, it usually dwindles to not much beyond a trickle compared to the other waterfalls in the park.

As we were driving by we stopped to see the falls. It is a nice fall but, Yosemite has quite a few that are even better.

1000 ft away from parking lot so we went in visited this fall. It ok visit. This fall is also very close to Tunnel View so hardly 2 mins to cover this fall.

We enjoyed a short hike to the waterfall view with our young children. We even brought the striker, but probably didn't need it. Home to the biggest yellow leaves I've seen in my life. The waterfall us unique since it seems like it's blowing away from the rocks.

If you are not a hiker, or the weather is bad, this is the one great hike that is worth your time -- so you can say you did get out of your car! One sign says .3 miles and the other says 1,000 to the Point; but it's about a 10 (to 15) minute walk on a beat down path, with some rocks. But the walk itself is beautiful wooded terrain. Once you reach the view point, there are a lot of giant boulders at the bottom of the falls, and great places to sit and get your picture taken, with the falls behind you. I read that in the winter there is often little or not water, and especially with the recent drought, but in December there was plenty enough to see... a real waterfall...not just a dribble. I'm sure in the summer it's spectacular and I'm told you can feel the mist.
