Downtown Willow Glen is great for walking around and grabbing a bite to eat. There are several restaurants with very good food. The farmer's market on Saturday mornings is small but has a lot of what you need. One of my favorite stops is the children's bookstore near the corner of Minnesota and Lincoln.

Always go to Willow Glen when visiting the area, darling stores, a favorite is, Three Sisters. Three Sisters is a treasure of vintage items, the ladies change it often. Their honey is made right in Willow Glen, a nice gift for friends.

Willow Glen is a neighborhood, located in San Jose, California. Tree-lined Lincoln Street, between Willow Street and Minnesota Street, is the heart of Willow Glen and offers many shops and restaurants. Willow Glen is very walkable, which is good because finding a place to park can be a headache. Some on-street parking is available, as is parking in a handful of off-street lots, but demand far exceeds supply. For more information about Willow Glen, see willowglen.org.

Willow Glen is a favorite spot of my daughter and son-in-law that live in San Jose. They have taken me here the last few times on my visits. The shops and restaurants have a side variety of selections for everyone, including Fast Food if you'd like. There is a great custard/ice cream shop that always has lines out the door. On the night we were there was an organized night bike ride. As we ate our ice cream, there must have been over 1,000 bikes riding through town, with all kinds of lights and decorations on their bicycles. It was a great end to our evening!

Willow Glen is a pleasant neighborhood with excellent restaurants that are accessible and inexpensive. I highly recommend Aqui, a colorful, informal fusion restaurant. It doesn't serve classic Tex-mex fare -- the tend to use Mexican form (tacos, burritos) for anything that catches the chef's fancy. I've literally had Egyptian chicken burrito and cous-cous there, and Thai peanut tacos are on the regular menu. Yuki sushi across the street is just a little pricey but excellent as well. Willow Glen isn't like the New Orleans French Quarter -- this is just a nice gentrified neighborhood with decent parking and some excellent eateries.

There are several restaurants and remodeled ones that should be visited and explored in Willow Glen, one such is the La Table. Also, there is the Italian Deli, that shouldn't be missed. Try the meatball sandwich...Willow Glen is a great Family town and dog friendly.

Downtown Willow Glen has really come up in the world in the past decade or so. It used to be quite quirky with a few good stores and restaurants surrounded by shabby establishments, such as old dry cleaners or junky stores. But their "movin' on up," and have established some really nice stores and restaurants. Lincoln Avenue is a charming place to stroll, especially between Minnesota and Willow Streets. And during the daytime, strolling through the neighborhoods of Willow Glen is a delight. Or at Christmas time, the neighborhoods have coordinated decorations with lighted Christmas Trees in most front yards, so even a night stroll on a winter evening is welcome.

I lived in Los Gatos for 27 years and raised my kids there (Los Gatos is a great place). Last year, my wife and I decided to move to Willow Glen. Willow Glen is like a small Los Gatos, with many of the same shops and restaurants, but much more house for your money. Three things I really like about Willow Glen are: (1) the charming homes, well manicured yards and tree lined streets; (2) Halloween and Christmas: great decorations and lots of people come from all around to visit; and (3) easy walk to restaurants on Lincoln

Willow Glen is a place you can feel at home. The bankers at the3 main street banks get to know you, and greet you by name. The wait staff at the restaurants treat you like a regular after a few visits. There is a real live children's bookstore with helpful staff and a bathtub filled with pillows for kids to read in while you shop. Places to buy wine, and an Italian deli that has been there for over 60 years - with raviolis made right there. Antique stores, places to exercise and so much more. All within walking distance and all with a small town feel. I have lived all over the world, and I keep coming back to Willow Glen.

Willow Glen, a suburb of San Jose, is a gem on its own. The restaurants, bars and ambiance of the small shops makes this a great place for an evening stroll with your dog, or a great place for a variety of great restaurants as well. Don't miss stopping here for a few hours to see what this small town has to offer, or get up early and have breakfast in one of the diners available right on Lincoln Avenue.

My favorite places in Willow Glen are Petroglyph, Aqui's, and Crepevine. Hicklebees is a cute children's book store worth at least one visit.

We are always in search of Sunday outings and finally made our way to Willow Glen. The downtown is about three blocks long, and the stroll lasted under two hours, including pizza at Pizza My Heart. There were actually several interesting shops, but the prices were too high! They are geared for the locals I suppose. There are also several restaurant options, although the place we wanted to eat at, La Villa, was oddly closed on Sundays. Although the sidewalks were only crowded in front of the restaurants, we did have several close encounters with kids on bicycles, who weaved dangerously through the pedestrians. We may return, but nothing special.

We do not live in Willow Glen, but are in the next community over. Willow Glen boasts wonderful restaurants of all varieties. I read their community newsletter and follow some of their events. For holidays the neighbor sponsors coordinated decorations, which attracts people from outside of Willow Glen. I enjoy shopping along Lincoln Avenue and can usually find parking behind the stores.

Nice community shopping & eating street, old fashioned. What few retail stores are there seem to have odd hours for these times. They should eliminate non retail offices on the street and replace with stores and restaurants. Establishments close early because neighbors living behind the avenue complain of noise after 10 p.m. Why live behind the Avenue if not interested in keeping it thriving? Most retail stores aren't open weeknights (some even closed on Mondays too). The restaurants on the Avenue are improving. Some nice spots but more dated than current, non real foodie hang outs. They should take a look at Campbell Avenue in Campbell to see what a really successful community street should look like!

we went to stroll around and find a restaurant. All the coffee drinkers were everywhere and so were the baby strollers. The stores are unique and the prices are high. Ended up going somewhere else to eat as I am a senior citizen and did not fit in.
