The Ontario Improv is a fun comedy club at Ontario Mills Mall. It seems small from the outside, but it is not as it appears. They offer food and drinks prior to the entertainment. The food is actually quite delicious. Be prepared to share a table with others though. It is a fun social experience! The Improv also offers "clean comedy" on select afternoon shows for families. I recommend seeing Joe Rogan when he's in town...who knew he was a great comedian!
This place is very cramped with the seating. Brea improv is much more comfortable. They do serve dinner. The food is actually very good. Pricy, but good. Get the refillable giant soda. Have fun. Oh, best part, the Ontario improv is connected to the Ontario Mills mall. Arrive early and shop.
Spur of the moment plan Friday night to see Charlie Murphy and have dinner at the Ontario Improv. The dinner menu is hellagood since G Garvin put his hand in it!!! The Martinis were awesome and had the soothing effect alcohol should have if mixed correctly. A regular visitor who will be back!!!
We really enjoyed the show. It was an inexpensive show and the food and drinks were a little high in price. The warm up acts tend to be heavy sexual jokes which I could have done without.
Compared to the other improvs, the Ontario mills one is a little, scarier shall we say at night. It's got an interesting mix of clientele. Unfortunately a lot of the really good comedians don't come to the Ontario improv so I end up having to go to brea to see the person I wanted to see
They food and drinks were just okay, but the comedy was excellent. Hopefully you get lucky and get a good comic!
Good Comedians, Small Venue so You can hear and pretty much see the stage from any seat. Be prepared to feel crowded in by strangers, they really pack you in and have you share tables with strangers. Discount rates usually available for shows $10.00 -$15.00 with online deals through Groupon,Living social or Goldstar. Drinks good but expensive. I was not impressed by the food. Overall fun for a night out... Plus I saw "The Love Master" Craig Shoemaker can't go wrong with him he is hilarious!
I've been here twice in the last three months. It's a small and intimate venue. Note: they will not seat you unless your entire party is present so come early for good seating. Also, there is no privacy, you'll have people sharing your table and booth. The food and drink prices are really $$ in my opinion. However, I'm obsessed with the asiago chicken- it's awesome. 2 item minimum requirement by the way.
staff are friendly, but one guy there that takes his job seriously long hair black guy is sometimes annoying. We pay to go there and we should be treated as guest a paying customer. I know the no picture rule but the show just started and i took my phone out to check my messages before the show before i put my phone away and it happened to be on the camera app when i left it since i was taking pictures before the show but just right then and there the black guy long hair guy told me no picture taking allowed and the another staff told my husband no e-cigarrets allowed inside too he has to go to the hallway to use E-cig. Anyway its just little things and or maybe its just me complaining.
I was shocked to find that a comedy club actually offered something other than nachos, and hot dogs. This location has undergone a menu revamp and offers items like Baked Shrimp Mac N Cheese, Crab Cakes, and Street Tacos (this item was good but needs some work) The service was great given that is was a full house but our server was up to the task, and the food arrived in a speedy manor and was hot. As we were dining and had gotten there early (7pm show) we got to sit right on top of the stage which sounds better then it actually is. The show was great but the seats were a little hard for me, would have preferred to sit on the bench seats behind us. Also note of caution as we were seated on the outer edge of the stage we observed the comedians spitting when they did certain bits, now I am certain this was not on purpose but if you were close enough you might get some unwanted moisture in your direction. The sound was a little muffled at times as well being so close and we must have been on top of the A/C down vent as it got real cold at times. I would return again but would request the outer edge seating in the front area. As we do not drink you can also take care of the two item minimum by buying your dinner which counts towards this minimum (each separately charged item counts as one) WORD of CAUTION: Watch were you park as the mall closes at 9pm and you may not be not be granted access back into the mall to make it back to car parked on the opposite side of the venue. (we were staying at the Hampton Inn). I would return again as this is a well run club.
What a shame that Flluffy has so many people wanting to enjoy his show close to home and at a reasonable price. I wanted to surprise my son and reserved 2 tickets plus dinner, he was very disappointed to arrive and find they had overbooked, I feel if you reserve something that is exactly what that means. I did get a refund receipt but that is not the point, I was very sadden by the way it was handled. I won't be reserving at Ontario Improv unless it is a certain reservation.
Have been to the improve now 4 times. Most shows include several comedians. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is relatively good as well.
I have been to the Ontario IMPROV many times~ I usually buy tickets for bigger performers... most recently Rob Schneider...Wayans Bros coming up! YESSS!Pleasant inside, and every table feels pretty close to the stage. I recommend going to the first show if you want dinner :) Menu items range from $10 - $25 so there is something for every budget. The food is average but Im there for the laughs anyway. Drinks are usually strong :)))No cameras or videos allowed...so you wont get a picture review here on Trip Advisor, but you wont be disappointed. At least half of the times I have been the comedians are gracious enough to do a photo op meet and greet after...awesome .Also, I GREATLY appreciate the fact that the IMPROV is right next to the Valet at the mall...sweet. I LOVE having something like this to do here locally instead of the long drive to vegas or l.a. See you again soon Improv.
We were visiting friends and weren't sure what to do to end our evening. We decided to go to the improv for a good laugh. And boy did we laugh! The club is very attractive and spacious. The drinks and menu selections predictable but varied and well priced. We ordered martinis and they were good. Many of the patrons were eating and the food looked good and plentiful. They were featuring "the black pack",all well known comics,Faizon Love, Jo Claire,Tony Roberts and Paula Bel. Great surprise, we had lots of fun.
