Thankfully, I stumbled upon this shop by accident. Talk about serendipity! This lovely place offers many organic items, specialty and common tea, coffee and spices from some of the best regions, locally made foods, cooking classes and the friendliest staff. From chocolate coated fruits grown in nearby Ojai to vinegars, oils, flavored sugars, gift items and too many other wonderful goodies to mention, I will become a regular customer. Thank you Spicetopia!!
Directly on Main Street in downtown Ventura you will find this awesome little spot. Spice-topia has walls and walls and shelves full of spices but also other hard to find teas and seasonings. They also carry local gifts like hand made items and sauces/dressings made from local ingredients. This is a must see spot while visiting the area!
Thank you for your review! We hope to see you again!
We were visiting another store, We Olive and got talking to the owner. Se suggested we visit this place. It's a spice, tea and coffee lovers paradise! There is a huge assortment of hard to find spices, local honey, tea and coffees along with cooking accoutrements. We again got to talking to whom we think was the owner and she was an absolute blast. All the items are pre-packaged in 1 and 2 ounce sizes but you can ask for a different amount if need be. We bought a fantastic tea called Dragonwell plus a delicious local wildflower honey. Again you can taste the honey before buying. I think this is great. Plus, you are never pressured into buying anything which for us makes for a great shopping experience. We are planning on making a special trip from our home in Las Vegas just for this store and We Olive in July because in both stores the people and products are worth the trip. Make these places a definite stop on your next visit to Ventura.
Our group visited Spice-topia after lunching at Dargan's Irish Pub & Restaurant across the street. We were amazed by the variety of creative ingredients they stock! They sell yummy teas of all kinds, coffee, infused sugars, artisan salts, spices (of course!), gravy and sauce mixes, and more. They also have an interesting variety of supplies for their foodie products, like tea and coffee preparation stuff, spice jars and so much more. They offer pre-arranged tastings too! Our group had homemade apple tarts and vanilla ice cream that were amazing! (They are also one of stops on the Ventura Food Tours.)
