景点印象
像一个彩色的调色盘,特殊的地形地貌,产生了混色的地貌,让人叹为观止,死亡谷太惊艳了,游客不多,死亡谷这种让人惊叹的景点数不胜数
There is a nice paved parking area here with a restroom option, but I really think a nicer view of the Palette was just prior to the official stop. It's impossible to be everywhere in the late afternoon to get the best light, but again this is one of those places to try.
A portion of the Artists Drive - the colors are those in an Artists Palette and hard to believe done by Mother Nature! It's a large turn-in area with a restroom facilities. It was raining when we reached the "Palette" but got our of our car and stared at its unbelievable beauty! Don't miss this!
We really liked hiking around the green and red rocks at Artist's Palette. Easy to get to and plenty of steep and flat terrain to walk around based on preference and ability. You would swear the green is copper, but it's not. It's actually green chlorite. There is no copper in these rocks.
beautiful breathtaking rock formations of varying colours:) Haven't seen anything like this before! The colour intensity changes with the sunlight. This is located on the artist's drive. You can hike into the rock formations,I guess, though we didn't do that.Don't miss it!PS- There is a "pit" washroom here. Washrooms are far and few in this national park.
Many visitors stop by at the Artists Palette to admire the multiple color of the rocks. I find it even more exciting to walk down into the valley and climb into the river beds. It is a world you have never experienced before.
Take your camera and go in the late afternoon for better colours and pictures. It needs the sun from the west to truly get the colours looking their best.
See review under Artist's Drive. The colors are very distinctive and artists will want to paint this.
Beautiful drive around Artists Drive to see the Beautiful Scenery of the artists Palette, what more can you ask for in Death Valley
Don’t miss this short spur off Artist’s Drive to a parking area across from the most amazingly colored rock formations. You can leave the car and explore on winding little footpaths between and along the ridgelines of these the fins. This area seems as if someone had taken a handful of rainbows like a quiver of arrows and draped them every which way across the ridges. This is a true wow spot!
It's certainly worth the short trip off of the main road to visit this lovely formation. The different colors are so fun to see. We hiked along the ridge to get different views of the colors and my husband photographed there for about an hour. We really enjoyed our stop!
We stopped here along our route. It's an incredible drive to get to this point and you won't be disappointed. It's amazing to think the colours here are all natural.
This is just a quarter of a mile off Artist Drive. At this point there is an absolutely breathtaking spattering of natural colors. There is a cul de sac and information as to what you are looking at. There is a hike you can take that brings you even closer. Hike or not, it is worth a bit of time.
Yet another natural wonder! Makes a beautiful sight and the place has an eerie silence to it. Must visit.
We spend a fair amount of time visiting desert locations, and this one did not disappoint. Not far from the Visitor Center, it's a driving loop. There are many pullouts as well as decent shoulder (not the entire way) where you get great views of the colorful landscape. Depending on your preference, you can walk out closer or just stay at the viewpoint. It's the desert so have water!
