All that I can say is that this is an amazing little place. beautiful tasting room. friendly staff. great lessons. flexible to the point of allowing you to bring your own lunch to enjoy on their patios. Great selection of wines and avocado oils. (yumm) and soon to be open - the first wine cave in Southern Cali. An amazing place and a must for all wine lovers.
This day was fantastic, started out with wine taste and tour at sister winery then back to Temecula to Oak Mountain for lunch, more wine tasting, cjeese pairing and more wine tasting, what a awesome experience
We toured several wineries in the area and chose this winery to join as a club member. Beautiful setting; friendly staff and lovely wine! My favorite winery in Temecula; a great place to spend an afternoon enjoying music and yummy wines!
Our first trip to Oak Mountain was great. We took a wine class and learned about the winery and the wines. We enjoyed the wines very much and decided to join their wine club. Most of the wineries in Temecula have special arrangements for their wine club members, usually a separate area where they can rest and enjoy their wine tasting without the general public crowd and noise. But Oak Mountain didn't offer that. We visited one weekend and were in the wine tasting room (not the outdoor patio) and waited and waited to get our first taste. We finally got it moved aside so other people could get served. A group came in who loudly expressed that they were there to "drink as much as we can as fast as we can", clearly not there to enjoy the wine. We tried to get a 2nd tasting and had to wait while the employee chatted, laughed, and served these other guests. I finally said, "We're wine club members. Can we please get another tasting?" The employee was clearly annoyed at being interrupted so we moved outside where there were only a couple tables available right next to the live music. We wrote a letter to the wine club manager explaining what a bad experience we had had. We received no response. We went one more time and again met with large, noisy crowds of people. Needless to say, we dropped our membership because clearly Oak Mountain doesn't put any value on the people who are guaranteeing them income. We enjoyed their wine and their entertainment, but not their attitude.
This is our favorite place to go on a Sunday afternoon to relax while sipping wine and listening to music. This is our favorite winery in Temecula!!!!!
Great wines and beautiful winery! They have a wonderful wine club... Best around. Classes are fantastic as well.
I always try to find the time to visit Oak Mountain during my time in Southern California. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming.
My wife and I knew little to nothing about wines so we decided that we would go on a wine tasting and education tour of Oak Mountain Winery. We had a fabulous time and learned a lot about wines and their proper parings. The wines are really good. Their knowledgeable staff of instructors were great! Their facilities are first class. If you want a truly fun experience, you'll love Oak Mountain.
Found a special for a half-day winery tour with tastings and lunch. Started out at Temecula Hills Winery meeting Joey (he's amazing!) poured us a glass of Raspberry champagne which is super yummy and I don't really care for champagne, Joey then took us out to the absolutely gorgeous and well maintained vineyards, then onto the production room for more wine tastes, very interesting to see the entire process. We then got back in our cars and went to Oak Mountain Winery to continue by enjoying a lunch of boars head sandwiches and chips and more champagne and the breathtaking views of the hillsides of wine country. We then had a wine and cheese pairing, very well done and informative we were fortunate to have Joey do this as well for us. (I'm telling you, he is a gem!) Now we go to see the wine cave that is being built, truly incredible, the only one of it's kind in Southern California! as well for us. Well worth the money, What a fantastic day. Thanks Joey.
Went here on our first trip to Temecula for a wine class. Intended to visit other wineries that day, but liked this one so much we spent the better part of the day here and signed up for the Wine Club. Run by a husband and wife who really care about making good wine and who care about their customers. Probably the BEST wine club benefits of all the wineries in Temecula (we've visited 14 of them, and researched other clubs from wineries we haven't visited yet). Great patio with wonderful views and great for a "picnic". Check their calendar for special events. Been here many times now, and still love it.
We had a nice time beating the recent rain at the Oak Mountain winery. The wines were good antasting room staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I understand they will soon be opening their wine cave.
Went for brunch and two days later went again! Great choices are wonderful but quality good is the ticket.this place served us food that not only was well made but also well seasoned...delish!Highly recommend the egg white frittata ....mmmmm.Went to the wine tasting afterwards and it was busy but offered good selections.
We were touring several wineries in Temecula on a recent visit and this was our last stop. Pros: The wines are very good. There was a guitar player who was quite good and played a good variety of music which we enjoyed. The views are awesome!!There was a very upscale food truck there with things available to purchase like Truffle French Fries, fancy salads and sandwiches, etc...They have a large patio with 20+ tables each large enough for 6+ people and you can bring your own outside food for picnicking.Con:the pours are a little skimpy and you only get six tastings for around $10 if I recall.Dogs are allowed and you'll find LOTs of them ranging in all sizes (or at least we did on our visit). You decide if this is a pro or a con. I liked it but I'm a dog person.I would definitely go back here!! Thanks to my son's girlfriend for giving me copies of her photos and allowing me to share them. Enjoy.
My wife and I aren't into alcohol and know very little about wine. We decided that we needed to learn about the various wines and what grapes they are derived from. We spent over half a day sitting through a great wine tasting class. The instructor was terrific and made the class very enjoyable. The various wines were presented with great examples of perfect parings for each wine. The wine was great and we took home 24 bottles. We loved the class and we enjoyed our walk around the vineyards. If you want a really enjoyable day, do the wine tasting experience at Oak Mountain Winery.
Annie and Jim were the best bartenders, very knowledgable and friendly! Grounds were beautiful, the outside sitting area was my favorite. You can bring you're own food, but they also had pizzas for sale. Only sad part: no Viognier wines available for tasting!! BOO. Will def come back to this one!
