Lots of restaurants and shops if you don't want to gamble. Pretty smoky but they funnel it out so it's not too bad. $40 cab ride from the wine country part of the city.
From what I understand it's the biggest casino (Number of Machines) in California, just about any machine you can find in Las Vegas is at Pechanga.Black jack tables range from $10 and up but dealers aren't really that friendly. The rewards program is great, you get a certain amount of resort credit (according to your tier) every single day to spend at the food court as well as free nights, free game play etc...via mail.Unfortunately after being a loyal customer for the past couple of years, I have noticed that the payouts have going down considerably, the best days to play without a doubt are the last Friday and Saturday of every month. (The later the better)Getting a drink while playing is down right impossible and reserving a machine isn't always a guarantee that you'll be able to sit back down after getting a refreshment at the bar or food court so good luck with that. All in all I would recommend going if you're in Temecula but not worth driving to if you're in L.A. or Orange County.
Even if you are not into gambling, Pechanga is fantastic for a night out with friends. Go to the High Limit Bar, its the best!
We didn't stay or played. We went there to have a brunch. The food was very good! The only thing we didn't like was waiting time, but it always happens with casino buffets. So we kinda expected it.I definitely, recommend to visit.
We went to the Casino which is about 10 minutes off town center. The Casino is enormous. The largest facility that we were ever in. We ate in one of the 9 restaurants and were very satisfied with the taste, cost and service. Not being big gamblers were spent some time at the slots and 21 tables and after about an hour we were slightly up.
I love their commitment to having Wheel of Fortune machines as those are our favorites. The floor is well laid out with easy access to the restrooms when necessary. The Pechange Cafe and Kelsey's both have good food. Tasty and many options. The buffet was wonderful and the line moved quicker than I thought it would. This casino definitely has that Las Vegas feel about it.
Visiting our son who lives in Temecula and found the Pechanga casino. We enjoy going to the casino on north coast and was interested in seeing this one. It was average casino, large, lots of people and restaurants. We visited on the weekend and couldn't find any machines open so didn't stay long.
Was here around presidents weekend and it was BUSY with terrible traffic and I am from LA... My advice don't come here during holiday weekends as I have never seen such bad traffic....we decided to turn around and stay in Palm Springs. The casino is nice for the area but not Vegas but then again it attracts a clientele that wants to gamble but not drive or go to Vegas so is good enough...but agree with other reviews slots are TIGHT
I'm not much of a gambler so my rating A casino should be taken lightly. For me the bad only comes to mind because of all the cigaret smoke, which is very thick at Pechanga. I have enjoyed concerts a shows there but for a non-smoker it's tuff to enjoy when it's difficult to breath.
i had decided to venture here because I read somewhere that dice are used to help determine the outcome in craps, but found that this is not the case they use two decks of cards A-6 and run them thru a shufflers for each hand. They have a number of food options, but none of the deals you can find at the barona casino. The casino is very large I did notice a smoky smell in the air which was kinda surprising considering how anti-smoking the state of ca is. If you have low roller tendencies saw plenty of penny slot machines around the place.
This was my first visit to Pechanga with my husband. We did not stay at the property, but did visit the casino. It is really nice inside and very big. It is clean with tasteful décor. The atmosphere is good and we enjoyed the general ambience. However, we have never encountered such tight slots ever and we have been to many casinos, mostly in Las Vegas. No matter how many times we spun the wheel, or how many machines we tried there was hardly ANY payback at all. After two hours of feeding these, hungry monsters we left, and we will not be back. Go to Las Vegas or Laughlin instead where at least you can have fun and maybe a chance of actually winning something!!!! I gave four stars because the property is very nice and if you are playing tables or have other priorities than playable slots, you may have a different opinion and you may really have a great time.
Like most casinos, it was smokey, difficult to find one's way out, and they took my $200...(okay...so maybe not fair to say they took it--I lost it at blackjack in about 20 minutes!)
I would give it 5 Stars but I never really win big, however, I never lose too much either. This place is huge, probably bigger than most Casinos in Las Vegas. They have tons of slots and keno machines and the employees are always very friendly. I have never stayed at the hotel because it's a bit too expensive for me so I usually go there spend a couple of hours and drive back to OC. My only complain I have about Pechanga is that they never send me any mailings. Every one I know gets them except me. I tried to email them about it but I never heard back. I would love to stay overnight so I can have a few drinks.
Compares to Vegas without the dice. Plenty of slot machines, video poker & video roulette. Table games are the same. Bingo upstairs. Good food court with several great restaurants & a nice buffet. Crab legs on Friday night. Casio clean, nicely decorated with a first class hotel & spa. Great place for entertainment. I don't golf but I heard its a first class golf course. Free parking. Great location, close to Old Town Temecula & the wineries. So much to do in Southern California.
It is a casino, but a nice one at that. My luck has been up and down at Pechenga, but I have managed to have a good-enough time there to enjoy my visits. If you play at the tables, wish your fellow gamblers luck and cheer on their winnings: that is the surest way to have a great time.
