A true gem of a park! Views of the mountains, cattle, & cacti were truly wonderful. During the day is the best time to visit as it's also a residential area

this is a great place to have a family picnic and or play fooball or kick a soccer ball with your kids , you can rent the picnic area for $60 from the recreation center 408-586-3210 and have a party there are bathrooms and benches you might want to bring a pop up shade for the food table great location

We have enjoyed visiting several times Jose Higuera Adobe Park in Milpitas. It is a historical park as well as a local park with picnic tables, barbecue areas; children’s play area. The historic adobe building was built by Jose Higuera.Jose Higuera was the last Spanish governor of California. In 1828, Higuera built the adobe house which is seen at the park. The labor for the house was provided by the Ohlone Indians. A prickly pear cactus was planted to serve as a hedge; the cactus is still in the park today.The historic adobe building is used for events. We have enjoyed picnics and barbecues here. There is also a children’s playground here. The park is also a convenient stopping place if you are biking the hill route streets.
