shoestring winery

We were on a wine tour out of Santa Monica when we visited this winery. The taste testing was fun and we ended up with 2 bottles of wine. They also have a few items in the gift ship to purchase. My husband loves denim shirts and so we purchased one for him with their logo. I enjoyed all the wineries but this on had the best wine. Check it out if in this area.

One of my regular stops in SB wine country. Never disappointed. Scenic, easy to find winery, super friendly staff, and overall delicious wines. I typically don't like whites, but am a big fan of their pinot grigio. Also, picked up a merlot (yes, a merlot). Small producer that you won't find anywhere else (ok, maybe one other place), so put it on your list to visit. They even give you a Dove chocolate to pair with the final syrah.

As the name implies, this is a huge, sprawling, corporate-run winery conglomerate. NOT!!!! Just seeing if you were paying attention. Dana, Lauri (I think I spelled that right) and the owner, Roswitha (hard to spell and pronounced rose-VEET-ah) are pretty much the whole hospitality operation. Roswitha comes up to the front whenever it's busy and introduces herself and talks about how she built & lived the dream of making special, tasty treasures in the countryside. Every time I've been there, they've treated me like an old friend they've been waiting to see, and I've seen them treat a lot of people I don't know like that, too. Try it sometime for yourself.

A wonderful winery in the heart of Santa Barbara wine country. Beautiful tasting room, wonderful wines and a great staff on site you must stop here if you enjoy good wine and a family run business

Shoestring was the second stop on our self-tour. Beautiful grounds greeted us, but the real greeting came from our hostess, Dana! She was welcoming, cheerful, and knowledgeable. We didn't feel rushed, and had ample time to taste and revisit. Bought a bottle of their Vino Blend red wine, along with a box of chocolate wine crackers. Only 1 bottle since I had to bring it back to NY! If you are tasting in the Santa Ynez area, be sure to stop at Shoestring!

気軽なワイナリーです。人気の観光地ソルバングの帰りに、すぐ立ち寄れます。私はドライバーの身。テイスティングは、嫁さん。私は薫りとちょっと舐めてがまん。どれも素晴らしい。2006年のシラーは、おすすめのチョコレートと抜群に合います。シラーを２本お土産に。価格もリーズナブル。便利な場所にあるからか、とても賑わってました。
