This is a factory for wine tastings, we went here late in the day on a Saturday and found two spots to do a tasting. There were no less than 10 employees doing tastings and the level of attention and information was minimal. The product is nothing exceptional and I was disappointed in they way we were treated as cattle in doing the tasting. The olive oil was good, and if I did go back I would just stick with the olive oil.
We made a stop there and just loved everything about it! The grounds are just beautiful and very well maintained. The wines were just as good! We really enjoyed the great story behind the brand as well...it is a great conversation piece since we bought 4 of our favorite wines!!
We started at this winery before meeting our friends up the road at a different winery. It was very interesting to have the olive oil tasting open as well. The service was okay but there were a lot of people there and a bachelorette party. The overall look of the winery is stunning inside and out. The wine was fine but nothing I had to go back for or buy.
This winery was recommended by a friend. Our first trip to Sonoma we stopped by. We spent an hour trying wine, oil and balsamic. Staff was excellent and my wife found several wines she couldn't go home without. The Montepulciano. She is taking her girlfriend back up later next month.
One of the first vineyards as you enter Sonoma but don't be put off. It's a great place to start. Not just for wine but also olive oil. Free testing from two tracks. Or as I did you can just ask for white or red. I stuck to the red and it was really enjoyable.
The name of this winery intrigued us so we made this our first stop in Sonoma. The grounds surrounding the winery are picturesque and provided many photo ops. Sitting by the fountain, it felt as though we were transported to another country. Once inside the walls, we sampled their wine and enjoyed the tasty wine shots. In The Olive Press room, they offered a number of olive oil and balsamic vinegar tastings. We sampled so many pairings of flavored oils and vinegars that it was difficult to choose. Luckily, our favorites were pre-boxed and ready to go.Now when we hear the word Jacuzzi, we think of wine first, spa second...such a talented family!
We came into town to see family and wanted one day just by ourselves. My husband had found a Groupon for a wine tasting tour with Sonoma On The Spot so we decided to head into Sonoma to see if we could track the place down. Never were able to find them so we changed plans. We both love olive oil and had seen the beautiful castle-like property on the way in to town. We decided to head back to there. I was a little skeptical and thought it would be super expensive because it's so beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised! There was no charge for tasting or for the tour! We started off in the olive oil tasting room, which was amazing. I loved every single variety of oil and balsamic they had. There were really different varieties, too, that they had paired and suggested for certain plates. Like lime infused olive oil and coconut balsamic drizzled over fruit salad. Yes, please! We ended up picking a few bottles to ship home and even got some for our family we were visiting. We followed that up with the wine tasting. The gentleman that helped us was just adorable. Funny, knowledgeable and just so informative about the wines. I'm not a big wine drinker, but enjoyed a few of the wines. My husband is far more into wine than I, and seemed to like most of them. After picking out a couple bottles of wine, we went on the tour. The place is just to die for beautiful. They are very green, have solar power, used wood from the area when caltrans decided to take down a bunch of trees, and the Vinyard is kept weed free by a herd of very well cared for sheep. The guide went into the history of the property and the family which was pretty cool. And yes, it is the jacuzzi family with the hot tubs. I think we will visit this place every time we are in the area. We did the wine tasting next
I never knew there were so many flavors of Olive Oil. We spent all our time tasting the numerous flavors of Olive Oil and didn't even visit the wine tasting area. Very nice facility and friendly staff. A nice diversion amidst a day of wine tastings.
Loved the friendliness, the beauty of the place and the flavors of the wines and olive oils. I bought a few myself as the oils and vinegars were unique combinations. I also bought wine. I will definitely go back in my future trips.
We were looking to stop at a few places on our way out of napa, and didnt have any picked out. Initially this place caught our eye as visually it looks great but inside we found they do both wine and olive oil tastings, so it was one of the few places where both the adults and kids could sample and was a great experience all around. We ended up sending back olive oils via mail as they had a deal if you spent over $75--free shipping, so needless to say we'll be getting some great oils and balsamics in the mail shortly. Oils were great from jalapeno, coconut, lime, cranberry and a variety of non traditional and traditional flabors, probably over 30 or so to sample.Wines were very good as well, and the ground had some great picture taking opportunities, as its a gorgeous building and grounds. Some unique wine bottle shapes to add to your collection.
this place was recommended to us at the visitors center and it was a great experience. At this vineyard they also make their own olive oil: The Olive Press. They have the extra virgin olive oils and some infused ones. I loved the blood orange olive oil. Also, the selection of balsamic vinegar was delicious, especially the fig balsamic. Best of all, you can have the olive oils and balsamics delivered to your house! If you have time, try some of the combinations suggested, like blood orange olive oil with cranberry balsamic

Also, should you be fortunate to get “FRED” as your host, he is one of the long line of Jacuzzi Familia. Fred not only tells you about the wine, grapes and how they make the wines but will spend time telling you about the family history. He was happy to answer our many questions. Make a point to walk around and see the beautiful works of art they have inside and out. If you are a Senior Citizen, ask about their 15% discount. So, you think they went from Italy right into wine making? NOT SO. The original Jacuzzi Family originated from Italy. The sons developed the propellers for airplanes. After one of the brothers got killed the Matriarch said, no more propellers. When Mama speaks, the family listens. They moved their family to Northern California and purchased a 161-acre farm land in Contra Costa County. The Patriarch with help from his older children, planted a portion of the open farm fields with grapes and applied for a license to make wine for home consumption. They took their propeller ideas and went into the Jacuzzi business. where they manufactured water well pumps and eventually, the bath and spa that bears their name which is now in Berkeley. That leads us to the delicious wine they make. Thanks, Fred, for making our visit so enjoyable and patiently answering our questions and offering us free chocolate shots. Usually the cost is $5.00.Mrs. Q says: FREE WINE TASTING and also FREE olive oil tasting. WHAT a DEAL! Of course, we could not leave without purchasing several bottles of wine, A Sagrantino, Giuseppina and La Dolce Vigne and some olive oil. So many wines, so little time. Go and enjoy, we did.Alice 34203 and 60660
We stopped with some friends here as part of our wine tour and also got a chance to do olive oil tasting. The wine tasting was a good experience and led by a couple of gentlemen who knew their history of the Jacuzzi family as well. The olive oil tasting was a new experience however quite nice as well and probably would have bought one if I didn't have to carry it around for the rest of my trip. Great service by the staff on this side as well.
The setting is beautiful, the wines were fantastic (I highly recommend the Barbera and the Cab Sauv!) and the service was second to none. The olive oil tasting was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be too- try the Jalapeno oil, it is in a league all of its own.
This place...being from the US and not having traveled to anywhere in Europe, this gave me such as feel as I would imagine being on a vineyard in Italy would be. The place is very open and spacious and filled with TONS of history from the family, let Don tell you all about it. And then, the Olive Oil tasting...WOW be ready for this, I have a thing for olive oils and this place is a pinnacle!!!! Be sure to try the Almonds in the corner!!!!
