loved the trails, but lots of bikes riding fast down the trails. You can walk forever out there. Wonderful place to just get away from the city. I felt safe with my friends there.
This trail is located almost directly across the street from an Archery club (a beautiful piece of land itself!). A bathroom and drinking fountain in the parking lot. Several dirt trails to choose from and there is a large sign in the lot that is color-coded to mark each of the trails and their difficulty. Always prepare to be out longer than you expect; bring plenty of water, a snack and protection from the sun. You'll have a great adventure if you plan well!
Had an awesome bike ride here along some of the popular trails! Would recommend this park to anyone looking for a great mtb ride in the sun
My hiking group has a new favorite in Redding. The Princess Ditch Trail is close to town but has great views, easy walking and a little variety of up and down. We have done from trailhead to trailhead (about 5.5 miles) and also up and back hikes. Great spot for horses too. Good parking and facilities.
What a great place to ride if you are an intermediate to advanced mountain biker! Lot's of trails.... The bureau of land management should be commended for providing such a Great place to bike ride in the Redding area!
There are so many trials to ride at this park. Coming from Phx it was a treat being able to ride in trees from sun up to sun down. With 40+ mile in the area alone I was able to ride all day and hit 7 different trails. The trail ranged from easy to hard depending on your skill level. Trails are maintained very well and at least during the time that I rode there were alot of riders at the stops but not on the trials itself. This is a great place for long single track with view that were breath taking (being in phx all I see is dirt and rocks). I hope to ride these trails again in the near future.
Some very tough rides, but a great choice for all levels and very well mantained
I didnt know if it would be to busy becuase there were a few horse trailers and cars in the parking lot but after a mile of running everyone was quite respectful and had no problems with the people ridding horses, bikes or runners! Would recommend for a nice family outing or just a relaxing run. I went the next day with my daughter and I, we had a great little walk ate some food in the shade since it was so hot. But a great day out!best part is its free
This is a perfect area for horseback riding, biking, hiking and much more! My husband and I took our horses out for a ride on this trail and have to admit I was not disappointed. There are quite a few trails I this area for any activity and there is also quite a bit of history! Our next trip will defiantly be a hike!
