benton dog park

Dogs seem to love the place it is fenced they can run freely and play with other dogs. You do have to watch your dog not all dogs are as nice as some. The same can be said of owners. You are suppose to pick up after your pet some do some don't. I say beware of yourself and dog while there. Don't be the only one in the park and don't be there at dark.

Unfortunately Redding won't spend the money to keep the park up. Theirpriority seems to be with the bikecycle, trail walking type. It's to bad, nice area, dogs love the park, but there's little lawn and they never replace or plant new trees. The atmosphere, views and the people are worth the stop. You really don't want to stay.

Scenic (okay, the dogs are too busy playing to care), lots of chairs and benches, shade and sun. Small dog area is separate, poo bags are provided, as are water dishes. Just a pretty place to take your furry kids! Easy to find and plenty of parking.

If you bring your dog on vacation this is a great place to let them run off leash. Separate areas for large and small dogs

This is not a good place to take any dog. I was bitten and hospitalized here from a dog biting me. Many people have been injured here. So my advice is to stay away from this one. It is dirty and the people are not responsible for their dogs ever here..

My dog had a big smile on her face while we were here. There is a lot of space for dogs to run around and make new friends. There is also shade and several trees for them to rest . They have a drinking fountain for both dogs and people and lots of chairs and benches for people to sit while their dogs play. There is a small dog play area adjacent to the main one if desired. They ask that you pick up after your dog, but they have shovels and plastic bags if you forget to bring your own. We will definitely be back. It is located on the corner of placer and airpark. I think it may be closed on Tuesdays.

This is a very popular Park next to Benton airport. Only take you dog if it gets along with other dogs. It is a place where your dog can run and does not have to be leashed. It is fenced in and parking is available. The restaurant at Benton Airport has one of the best breakfasts in town.
