景点印象
很有感觉,虽然没有中国的桥历史长,到时任何自然的就是现在最美好的,特别是把动物植物都放在一起观赏,再加上远处的火山,太美了美了。
All should take the time to stop and see. The architecture is amazing, the scenery wonderful, and should one desire the River Trail walk is well worth it.
We absolutely loved visiting the Sundial Bridge on our recent trip to Redding. We really enjoyed walking on the bridge and nearby trails. There were lots of people walking and biking on the bridge, but everyone was very polite and friendly. If you want to view the bridge from a different perspective, be sure to walk down towards the river from the museum. It's pretty cool! Also, check out all of the interpretive signs and crank-powered sound boxes while you're in the area. Many of them are very interesting!
Try it in the morning with the rising sun. Glass, over Sacramento River, lots of wildlife about, joggers, scenic
This is a interesting bridge, has a clear floor and is lite up at night making it rather interesting to see. But again a lot of homeless people in the area that were yelling and making folks nervous to even be there. Redding needs to fix this issue if they want their tourist industry to survive.
This site is beautiful and relaxing, offering visitors a laid back, take-as-you-go experience. My favorite thing to do here is to simply take my lunch outdoors here and relax at a bench overlooking the water and just watch the people, the ducks and the water go by. The architecture of the Sundial Bridge itself is always pleasing to the eye and inspiring. The opaque glass of the bridge you walk across is intriguing and always a conversation piece with guests I bring with me to this must see sight. And of course, one must stop along the bridge and take a moment to breath and take in the Sacramento river and mountain views...and the trees. The atmosphere here is conducive to simply be, not to rush, and to forget about worries and stress and all that distracts and gets us worked up.
My son and I walked the Sundial bridge and many of the offered walking trails. The place seems to be a very popular destination for locals who like to bike, jog or walk the dogs. The bridge is pretty cool and you walk over the Sacramento River on frosted glass.Their are tons and tons of walking trails around the bridge and my son and I enjoyed a nice 5 mile walk. The aquarium was closed for winter but we were not interested in going in anyhow. We did go back at night to see the bridge light up. DONT go through the flower park at night to get to the bridge. Park in the main parking lot at the aquarium instead. (An employer at Dutch Brothers told us the park can get a tad sketchy at night). The bridge does seem to become a popular area for 20 something to party a bit and hang out with friends once the sun goes down but during the daily it is VERY family oriented.Turtle bay is a little dirty pond on one of the trails that looks like it's been affected by drought. We did see several turtles basking in the sun sitting on longs which was pretty cool.I would visit this park again and bring my husband so he can wear his waders and fish in the river under the bridge.
This is an amazing and beautiful bridge to walk across the Sacramento river...it's an actual working sundial! Quite an engineering marvel.
Even though I have lived in Shasta County for 3 years I still walk across the Sundial Bridge many times a year. It is always an enjoyable thing to do. I like to walk across the bridge and then walk through the Botanical Gardens as well. Do not miss this Bridge.
Smiling faces- who doesn't Smile when they're walking over the Sacramento river in Redding California? Beautiful sunrises& sunsets. Lights up different colors for Reddings many charitable causes like 'Think Pink' month in October- Started right here in Redding California.
Great place for a walk, bike ride, jog, or coffee. Great for family's, as well as anyone wanting a beautiful area to relax and enjoy.
This is a great engineering marvel. It is a must see in Redding. I love going there and enjoying the peacefulness of this area.
A must see. Only one like it in the United States. At night it is wonderful. The bridge is glass bottom so at night it is lite up. You walk across this beautiful structure. You are walking on glass. Do not miss this. A hotel will soon be going up at the site. Should add a lot to the venue.
Sundial Bridge is a great place to stop and visit if you are traveling thru Redding. It was designed by a world famous architect and is truly a sight to be seen and walked upon. The bridge spans the Sacramento River and often you can look over and see the spawning fish. The bridge floor is obscure glass and glows at night. It's a great photo op for shutterbugs. Worth a short side trip off of I-5. They also have a gift shop and small cafe style restaurant on site and Turtle Bay is also nearby with ever-changing subjects of interest to all ages. Kids will love it. Turtle Bay does charge a fee, but the bridge is free.Just a note of warning. The glass on the bridges floor gets extremely hot even in mild weather. Protect your pets feet from burns by either carrying them or providing booties.
The architecture of the Bridge is awesome! Walked around the "Bridge", saw couples, families and solo vacationers. No charge to Park, no charge to cross over the bridge. It was a very warm afternoon (arrived at 4:30 pm) so didn't do a lot of hiking but plan on returning in the spring or fall when temps might be better for hiking.
