Stayed there in Sept.and although the golf course was fine, the accommodations need some upkeep. Hot tub/spa not working with a foot of old stinky water. Also the pool out of order and dirty.Fire alarm beeped until we just unhooked it since new batteries didn't helpThe place is getting old and is in need of some TLC.

The course is in great condition and fairly priced for the quality of the experience. The views are incredible and the course is fair but challenging -- move up a tee if winds are high. This course is easily in the top 5 in the state and would be ranked higher if not for some years in the past when maintenance was not kept up after change of ownership. The twilight is a good value and the junior rates are extremely reasonable.

The manicured fairways and well-maintained greens cut a beautiful swath through this challenging, desert course. But that's the nicest thing I can say about it. There are too many blind shots (at least from the blue tees) without much guidance as to where to aim your shot. Several times I hit a great drive only to discover my ball nowhere near where it needed to be due to an unseen bunker, hidden ravine, or blind turn around a corner. The lack of amenities and professionalism on the course is my major gripe. We did not find out about the lack of cart service until we were already on the course. The restaurant was closed (though the website said nothing about restaurant closures on Tuesday). Two sprinkler systems on two separate greens were on. And the lawn mowing crew kept right on cutting grass as we tried to play two holes on the back nine, failing to bring their machines down to idle on ball address.I would rather spend my time or money playing Bear Mountain Ranch just down the road in Chelan, or one of the other nice courses in Central Washington. It's a beautiful looking course in a beautiful location, poorly executed.

The putt-putt course was the real deal, all grass, no turf. Friendly staff. Beware of rattlesnakes...

I've always loved playing this course, even when it got the best of me (most days). It's a beautiful, well maintained course with lots of challenges for a duffer like me. The staff is great, although the change of management caused some cutbacks. I look forward to going back this summer.

While it is true that Desert Canyon is superior to Bear Mountain in course layout and maintenance, my score was lower at Bear Mountain, so I had a better impression of that course! In all seriousness, Desert Canyon was a challenging course, but very enjoyable. I found the greens to be more challenging than I am used to, but still had a great day of golf. I didn't care for the power lines, but the views were beautiful from much of the course. I would definitely recommend this course (as well as Bear Mountain Ranch)

Beautiful well maintained Course. The greens are a challenge, difficult but fair. Unless you are straight you will lose a few golf balls. One of my favorite courses and worth the drive. Consider staying on site as the views are spectacular and prices reasonable. 30 minutes to Lake Chelan or the other way 30 minutes to Wenatchee. Great family or boys trip.

They have GPS on the carts which is always welcome when playing an unfamiliar course. Well manicured and challenging with great views. Sister course to Bear Mountain but we found Desert Canyon to be far superior in the course layout and maintenance while the Pro Shop at Bear Mountain was certainly friendlier.

THE Wife and I played here on May 21, 2013. A beautiful, sunny day with temps in the high 70s. We teed off at 2:20 which is 40 minutes before their twilight rate and our fees were less than $60 per person. The fair ways are spacious and the greens are massive, undulating and quick (but not stupid quick). The front nine is good golf - a few holes spectacular - with a few cut around some housing. No complaints on the front nine. But the back nine is stunning with awesome views of the Columbia River and the mountains around it. The back nine is very much set in a desert setting and just a lot of fun! Overall this course is a must play when you're in the area!!If you're golfing in the Chelan area then you must also check out Bear Mountain on the south side of Lake Chelan (you'll see the entrance to Bear Mountain Ranch on the west side of #97 Alt). Absolutely superb!! Identical green fees to Desert Canyon and with fantastic views of Lake Chelan and even better golf than Desert Canyon.

Beautiful hotel, and a fabulous golf course. The "front" nine is called the "Lakes" and is not only challenging, but beautiful. Not exactly "lake" but who cares. The "back" nine is the "Desert" and it is in fact desert like. Number 6 hole, besides being a beautiful hole over 600 yards from the white tees, is a beautiful vista of the Columbia River. We golfed here right at the end of March when they were just opening up for the season. The restaurant wasn't open, but that was OK as we had our RV. The pro shop is well equipped and the staff are super friendly and accomodating. The whole course gets an A+ from us.

Two different courses, each with their own challenges and great views. Lodging was very nice as well as a nice selection of food.

We stayed at this location with my brother and sister-in-law. We stayed at the condos and golfed two rounds on the course. It has to be one of the best courses we have ever played. It would be nice if there was more to do on sight for non-golfers.

With the new owner taking care of the course it is a wonderful place to golf again. The view is spactacular and the course is challenging.

Stunning setting, great course, and good food. Must have a golf cart due to length of course and distance between holes. It's also helpful as there are several blind spots on the course so the presence of a cart makes it easier for foursomes to see you.

I have played this course repeadedtly and I love it. Great lay out. Challenging but fair. The course is in great shape this year. This particular round was a real downer. Some earlier groups were playing a scramble tournament and slowed pace to 5 1/2 hours. Very disappointing. No marshals anywhere. I'll go back but will be careful to play early and check for large groups.
