Beware, I won't use the word I want to use as it probably isn't appropriate, the "____" want to charge you not only for the Discover Pass to access the park, but want $7 on top of that to launch your boat. The boat dock seems a little short, but the Columbia was low the day we launched here.

Stayed a week while we explored the area. Excellent park only thing missing was internet access. Wonderful grassy sites good separation for privacy even in open areas. No sewer at sites but easily accessible sani station at entranceLike most WA state parks a wonderful place to camp!

Spent three nights, one family with a trailer and one in a tent. The sites are spacious with electric hookups but no sewer. Our family was in the tent so it did not make a difference to us. There was a complete burn ban in effect but cooking with propane was no big deal. There was ample space for the kids to play and ride bikes. The restrooms were clean and the $0.50 showers (token purchase required) were adequate. The park was clean and camp host had ice for sale if needed. Yay...NO BUGS or WIND either! Our only real complaint was the swimming area...the water was low, the silty bottom was easily disturbed, and lot of goose poop on the beach. Small and family friendly...would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed in numerous WA State Parks and this is by far my favorite. My family and I come every year and stay for an entire week. We usually stay in August and haven't experienced a lot of the wind issues others have in June. Most of the time I welcome the wind! It's quiet, clean, kid/pet friendly, and some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. My wife and I usually go for a run every morning along the very long paved trail they maintain. The swimming area is nice. The host is great about driving around to see if you need ice or wood. I guess if I had to come up with a con, it would be no sewer hookups. If you are staying for a significant amount of time, it's kind of a pain to unhook to dump. Other than that, it is perfect!

We stayed at their campgrounds for RVs and trailers so I can't say anything about the island that is only for tent campers.Positives:Great location, so many places to get fresh fruits from!Beautiful views of the Columbia River.Well-maintained Each campsite is spaced out so that neighbors are not too close.Trails to bike/walk are a plus, there's even a volleyball net.Restrooms are decent with token-operated hot showers. Safe place, especially since the park ranger drives around regularly to check the campgrounds.Negatives:It got really windy on our second day, as in SUPER WINDY. It was also windy on our first night but it was not as bad as our second day experience. Water of the river can was too cold to enjoy (I guess that was a given especially since we didn't go there in the middle of the summer).I highly recommend sites 24, 25 and 26 if you want a great view of the Columbia River as well as close proximity to the restrooms.

We stayed the weekend after memorial weekend....We have a tent trailer and stayed in the trailer loop. The first night, the weather was perfect, but Saturday night we experienced the wind some of the other reviewers mentioned...didn't bother us too bad, we just spent some time in our trailer playing games. The water area was nice...lots of shells on the shoreline. At this time of year there was not very many kids playing at the water. The wood playground toy has definitely seen better days. There was no park store (at least not at the time), like you will find at Lincoln Rock or Lake Chelan State Park. A really nice gas station with a Subway is a short 5-7 minute drive to Orondo for ice runs or if you forget wood (we did.) We liked the low key atmosphere of this park...we plan to make another trip later this summer.

I camped at Daroga with a group of friends last weekend. Facility was clean, camp spots big enough to hold 3 tents, dog friendly, nice fire pit for cooking and even had an electrical outlet to charge things! The only problem was the extreme winds at night. Kept everyone awake most of the night.

We only stopped to look at the park, Did not stay for long but definitely plan to return for a visit. Can't say too much other than we were very impressed with what we saw. The swim area looked very clean with lawn right up to the beach area.

Lots of bugs greeted us and never left. They were everywhere including in our food. Lots of goose poop and very windy. It was a long walk to our campsight from the parking lot. Otherwise its beautiful here and peaceful.

We have had family reunions and company parties there. Great place to picnic and go skiing.

REMEMBER: Most Washington Parks require a reservation! Call Ahead! This park is nicely laid out for rvs and tenters. Great docks and walking paths. We got the LAST rv space and it had an adequate view of lake. DRAWBACK: family reunion spread over wide area, kids and dogs with no supervision or leash and cars, cars, cars.
