Walk so, take your time, this park is very small. There are beautiful plantings and sculptures dancing together under the trees. We really enjoy strolling through the arboretum when we are out walking our dog. If you are at Legion Park, you should stop by.
Needs some work, but its nice to walk through if, like me, you were waiting for an event to start in the park next door.
Although it is a fairly small arboretum, they have some very nice specimens. In particular we enjoyed seeing the many sculptures they have tucked away in the gardens. Combine this with a river walk and eating out to complete a full day.
One of the nicest Parks in Everett that has a wonderful garden and art. Love coming here usually in the spring and around June/July for the garden events.
The arboretum is small but quite nice. In the past few years the efforts of those who care about the arboretum are evidenced by all the improvements, both in plants and decorative structures and artworks. It is a very pretty place even for people who don't get excited by plants. The location is at the far north of Everett, immediately west of a city golf course, immediately south of Legion Park which has a playground, picnic area, ball park, restrooms, etc., and immediately east (across Alverson Boulevard) of a scenic overlook of the Snohomish River, the Jetty (a long narrow island separating the river from the sea), and the islands beyond. The entire area is a really nice place to spend time.
The arboretum is the best kept secret in Everett. Beautifully landscaped, lovingly planted and tended it's an urban oasis inNorth Everett.
Free, quiet, peaceful. A small park but an easy going one. It is worth at least a walk through. Really easy to access as it is part of Legion Park.
The arboretum is a great place for a walk or just sit in quiet solitude and forget the rest of the world. Explore the entire area around the park and the viewpoints. This is a hidden and little used gem.
I went on a brisk Fall day and was still able to enjoy the layout of the gardens, regardless of it not being as colorful as it would be in the Spring. There are various sculptures that work well with their surroundings (and for sale).
We went there on early morning, lots of free parkings. A kid playground next door. Nice garden to relax and take picture. The Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens is both a place of beauty and education and is free to the public. The GARDEN has ten themed gardens include the Urban Tree Walk, Entrance Garden, Rock Garden, Northwest Native Plant Trail, Rain Garden, Japanese Maple Grove, Northwest Demonstration Garden, Viewing Mound, Woodland and Conifer Gardens. The Arboretum is open from dawn until dusk. The garden is located inside the residential area and is only few minutes away from the freeway.
If you like flowers, trees and gardens a must go. The gardens are spectaculars. Well keep and a hugh variety. To relax and to get in touch with your inner self. You won't regreted.
This is a magical place.. a place to relax and enjoy nature and all it's beauty. Well designed and inviting space
I heard that this place was worth a visit, but I was blown away by how beautiful it is. I went in mid April, and there were colorful flowers everywhere. We took tons of pictures of the plants. I especially loved the pink maple tree, curly "Contorta" tree, and black flowers. There is a lovely gazebo for events.
I like plants and gardens and was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely Hidden Garden in Everett, WA. We stayed in Everett for a long week-end and had a free morning. This garden made for a great way to spend it. There a lots of Evergreen trees (as the name suggests) and many varieties of Japanese Maples with a few garden sculptures here and there. It's so pretty here that we saw two photographers using it as a background for their photo shoots. We were there in October and I'll bet it is even nicer in the summer. It only takes an hour, if that long, to stroll through and it was free.
