Wife and I had a quick getaway to Chelan and following a fantastic Dinner at the Winemakers Grill at Wapato Cellars, we ran into the Mill Bay Casino to try our luck at a couple games and see if there was any live entertainment. We both signed up for the players club and received $10 of free play cash each. It happened to be my wife's birthday and she received another $10 of free play cash. Very nice facility and the bar often has decent live music especially in the summer months.
It was very accommodating and we had no problems getting shuttles. Didn't like the smoky environment and wish they had non smoking areas for us that don't smoke.
Somewhat smokey and 3/4s of the machines were down due to an electronic issue. The staff was not particularly helpful and the restaurant was average.
Let's get to the point. This place is a SCAM. Stay away. No one wins. Just money sucking machines and bored staff. I recommend a root canal over this dump.
We were really surprised after reading the reviews before we went. On a Monday and Tuesday night we could hardly smell the smoke. Good machines and food. They gave us $10 for new members and we actually won. The reviews we read must have been before they remolded, because it was clean and friendly.
Stopped in briefly but left after walking the entire slot area. Lines of the same kinds of machines. Not the Vegas selections we are used to. My husband bought a cigar in the Smoke Shop next door in the parking lot and then was told by a security guard that he could not smoke it in the casino. Don't waste your time or $.
The Mill Bay Casino in Manson, Washington is owned by the Confederated Colville Tribe and is located on the northern shores of Lake Chelan. It built a new small casino and event center a couple of years ago which was a big improvement from the collection of dilapidated mobile homes and cafe that comprised the last complex. The facility is ok and much cleaner and spacious than the previous low-rent operation but the tribal management is severely lacking. The restaurant serves some of the worst food in the West. The employees are severely under trained even for Eastern Washington standards, which is saying a lot. Frozen or deep-fried foods run amok with employees offering customer service on the level of a gas station minimart. Locals grumble about the choice and variety in a smoky environment. So if you are are a compulsive gambler with a nicotine problem and regularly dine on greasy, unappetizing fried food, you'll love the place. Otherwise you are warned.
Cheap drinks, free live bands. Super smokey ewe. Won a lot of money. Won free food and free money. Staff is great.
Smallish casino on beautiful lake Chelan. Mainly slot machines with a few table games. Not crowded except occasionally in summer. Large parking lot. There is a venue that gets some decent acts in but is extremely overpriced. Good diversion if you need a break from the sun and lake.
When you live in California, and visit the nice casinos in Vegas, this place is dirty, smoky and kind of low rent. We went to check it out, the casino does not have a good ventilation system so it's pretty poor in regards to air quality.
We recently had occasion to do a day trip to Mill Bay with our local tour bus company. We've been here once before (review on tripadvisor previous) and don't remember the lack of customer service we received this trip. We had an individual standing holding the door open as we made our way into the casino and he might has well have been a statue... there was no greeting, no eye contact...nothing...welcome! We were herded to the Player's Club to pick up our coupons and for some of us, get a Reward's Card. They had two members for a busload of people...2 lines formed and after standing at what we found out was the wrong line (we needed a Rewards Card apparently to get the coupons), we then moved to the right line for another long wait. One fellow remarked he didn't want the Rewards Card and a curt answer came back from one of the employees who rudely remarked, "no card, no buses down here". What? Both ladies were extremely rude with all bus passengers and we felt no appreciation for choosing Mill Bay.On other trips to other venues, we were greeted with cards already done and given out and our coupons with a smile by the site representative. Certainly didn't happen here.Lunch was okay. Nothing special...asked for a whole wheat wrap as listed on their menu but they had nothing but white...they took my husband's order and left me standing and waiting despite wanting the same thing. Lineups were long and another bus passenger remarked they had been waiting 20 minutes for a sandwich. Poor flow and poor time management. Asked for a lime for my "beverage" and the server, despite wearing gloves to make the wrap, took them off, grabbed his cell phone and then my lime with bare hands..ewwww. Hope the alcohol killed whatever.Cashiers were fine but not overly friendly. Won't be back.
Went to this casino and it was very clean and felt very new, it is not as big as most casinos I have been in but it was not real smoky like a lot of them are for us non-smokers. They did a good job keeping the air fresh. They had a great assortment of slots. It was a little out of the way to find but worth the drive.
I can't figure out why this dump is still around. It is a complete scam and a clip joint. Machine are beyond tight. Seems like they should be investigated for out and out fraud.
I visit this casino at least once a year and never do I see even a 5% return on the amount of money "dumped" into what Mill Bay considers "slot machines." DO NOT go here if you have intentions of hitting it BIG or to possibly break even, it won't happen. By far the tightest machines in the state. I'm surprised the gambling commission doesn't keep a closer eye on this casino regarding it's payouts, they're are undoubtedly the poorest of any casino in the state if not possibly the nation. So ambling enthusiasts beware you've been warned!
This little casino in Manson is about 10 minutes from Chelan & brings in some fun old school bands for the summer. Parking is free, the sound was okay and the traffic was easy. You must walk through the smokey casino floor to get to the concert area, which is shaded, has a huge outdoor bathroom & full bar with some small plates to order. They accept cash & credit cards. Definitely a great add on date night if your staying on the Lake!
