beacon rock golf course

This is a great place to get a quick half-round of golf notched. The staff is super friendly, the food is cheap and delicious, and you won't be hassled for a lack of golfing skill.

We were not there for breakfast, but it seemed like the diner had pretty good food. Very flat so easy to walk. Not really any water holes and maybe 2 sandtraps, but there wasn't much sand in them. Pretty windy area so be prepared for that. The scenery is so nice it doesn't matter if you have a bad round :)

We went there for lunch on a Monday, and since it was 3:30 pm, and they closed at 3:00, the Restaurant was locked, but they saw us outside and actually re-opened the restaurant so we could eat! They had a pretty good selection of different menu items, and the food was quite good, but the service was outstanding!We did not golf, only came for the Restaurant, which my friend had recommended. She said that on previous visits there the food was excellent, and she was right.

My husband and I have played Beacon Rock a few times now and find it laid back and enjoyable.It's a PGA course, inexpensive and a very easy walk for anyone. It is really a nine hole course that you play twice but from different tee locations for the "back nine". There are no sand traps and one real water hazard so you can pretty much get yourself out of trouble (in the trees, for instance) pretty easily. There is a snack bar/restaurant on site and an additional rest room out on the course. Two minutes West of here is Beacon Rock (of Oregon Trail fame).

watch the wind though! they say errant balls are golfers risk.. im sorry, but if you have a house on a gold course, in the columbia gorge, you ought to be prepared for some damage.
