The falls flows down the side of the gorge, the upper section at such an angle that it's somewhat obscured. As a bonus, there is another waterfall just east of the Gorge Creek bridge which sprays down to US 20, then drops again into the gorge downstream of the bridge. The trail up to the viewing is nice and very well maintained but the best view is from the Hwy 20 bridge. If you do not like heights, the open grating on the bridge will not be for you.

These waterfalls are really attractive and scenic we visited this on our way to Diablo lake overlook point.worth visiting.

We were heading east on North Cascades Highway and saw the Gorge Creek Falls, a bridge right next to them, a parking lot, pit toilets, and an overlook trail. The overlook trail: Paved and goes up a gradual 20 vertical feet. Unfortunately there are just "peek-a-boo" views between trees of a dam, the bridge by the falls, and a reservoir. I would skip it unless you want to walk through the woods. There are much more spectacular views along the North Cascades Highway. The pit toilets: Typical for national parks without running water, including just hand sanitizer to wash your hands.Bridge by the falls: Pedestrian walkways on either side of the road, a crosswalk from the parking lot to the opposite side of the bridge. Take GREAT CARE when crossing in the crosswalk since traffic comes around a curve. The falls are dramatic and beautiful but the best part is that you can see right through the grating down to the creek far below you. It's thrilling and fun! See my photos!

We were heading east on the 20 when we stopped at the Gorge Creek Falls & Overlook. The overlooks by the bathrooms were alright but the view of the Skagit River was somewhat obscured and there was just one trickling fall to be seen. It seemed somewhat underwhelming. We did the loop trail as well that takes you from the overlooks back to the parking lot but you don't get to see much from this trail but woods. At least it wasn't overly long. It wasn't until we were driving back on the 20 towards Concrete (West) that we realized we had missed a major waterfall that you can only see from the bridge just after the rest stop if you are heading east. There is a cross walk there for you to cross and walk across the bridge to see the fall. We didn't see any placard at the location indicating there was fall here. When we come back through again we will make sure to stop and see the fall we'd missed. You are supposed to have a national park pass to stop at this sight. There is a bathroom but they are highly used and not very nice.
