matter! gallery

I wander into Matter! Gallery about three times a year, and never fail to find something interesting and unique. The emphasis is on fun, and the styles run toward eclectic. With that, the workmanship and artistic skills are really quite good. Always fun to buy local too.

Excellent experiences, Matters Gallery recycle and reuse art, art made with recycled items. I enjoy my visits there, great art made locally and you can find something for everybody. Van Gogh it is not, but it is fun art that fits the modern lifestyle. They have been downtown in Olympia for a while, they did move a few blocks closer to the core downtown space a few years ago and it is even better.

This art gallery brings together a range of great artists producing more contemporary art works. Many mediums are offered: sculpture, painting, mixed medium. Great stop to browse the many pieces that are offered - and purchase if you are so inclined. Definitely worth the stop if you are someone who appreciates more modern works.
