I'm surprised by the great reviews of this place, though they seem to be more about the blackberry wine, which I sadly didn't taste. This review is about their serve and wine. Seven girlfriends and I were lucky enough to leave our husbands and children at our local-ish camp site at Rasar State Park for some wine tasting. This was the closest winery no one in the group had been to, and I know I can safely say no one will return to! Granted we are from Woodinville - the home of all the best Washington wine tasting rooms. First the samples (which they served to us in plastic cups) were about 1/2 a normal human sip; I believe I can usually get 3-4 real sips out of a normal sample pour. We were all trying to share our 3 tastings for $2 with each other to try and find ONE wine ANY of us liked; EPIC FAIL! We, between all eight of us, did try the 3 reds, 4 (maybe it was 5) whites, and 2 fruit wines they were offering. WE WANTED to purchase a bottle to support local business and bring home for our potluck dinner at the camp site, but we just couldn't! NO ONE out of our group of eight women like their wines! On top of skimpy pours, plastic cup service, and not-to-our-taste samples - which we lost $16 on - they were annoyed we arrived and did hurry us out of their OPEN tasting room. If they're not open then they should CLOSE!If you're looking to support local business we did happen to find two other local wineries. Good luck and cheers!
This is a fun stop on Highway 20. They have some very good wines and sometimes music too! Great place to add for a day trip up Skagit River to view the bald eagles.
A lovely selection of fruit wines are offered. The winery is on a farm in an apple orchard. The drive to get here is fun too!
Have a lot of great events and friendly staff for wine tasting. The concerts are cheap, and you get a discounted bottle.
A mountain setting, grapes grown on site, apple orchards all around. . . It doesn't get much better. We finally took the short venture east of Mount Vernon and were super impressed with the Eagle Haven Winery. Their tasting room was a little chilly (you're in a winery, not a country club after all), but the service was excellent and the juice was great!I won't try to describe flavors thru a message but they have something for every taste (whites/reds, and apple fruit and a pear dessert). Right now there are only 6 wineries on paper in the greater Skagit Valley - supporting these established ones will only bring more to experience.Be careful if you venture over to the apple shop next door - not the friendliest of folks in charge (could have just been a bad day?) Enjoy Eagle Haven!!!
