We stopped by this place on the way back from Vancouver and it did not disappoint. We ordered around 40 oysters and enjoyed every single one. You buy them in bulk and shuck them yourself so you build up an appetite as you work. There are grills outside and you can purchase charcoal and other items inside as you buy oysters. Don't do what we did and come late and have to rush. Sit and enjoy the meal.

If you have not had a chance to visit this farm, you should consider it - the choice of fresh seafood is quite wide. Multiple choices of various shellfish and crabs. Cooked or DYI. The folks who work there are willing to help and VERY kind. A few seating areas outside with tables and benches. A few notes worth considering:1. The drive to Bow is amazing and one of the scenic drives in Washington State. Take your time driving it - if someone is on huge hurry - this is a two-lane hwy with dotted yellow lines - they can pass you. 2. Parking at the Farm might be a bit tight on weekends. If parking is crowded - pull back to park near the railroad tracks. 3. (!!!) Pay close attention before crossing the railroad tracks. Not for the sake of fear, but responsibilities - keep in mind AmTrack passes through this area. 4. A lot of information on shellfish is available in their storefront office/shop. Ask for advice/recommendation. 5. On the way to the farm, you will pass a few spots where folks can park their cars and walk/hike down to the water, so the winding and twisting road will be full of cars/trucks parked on the side of the road. Make sure to visit those areas if you are up for a little adventure. Have FUN!!!

This "Farm" was started in the 1890's and is a family run shell fish farm that has grown to be the largest in the United States. Call ahead and arrange for the 1 hour guided tour that will be educational, enlightening and fun. The tour, presented by Jennifer or an equally knowledgeable assistant, will take you from the seeding of the shellfish to the shucking (still all done by hand) to their world wide marketing. Closed toed shoes are recommended and a small cooler might be an option for those wanting to purchase some of the freshest sea food in the world. Taylor's arranged for two tours of 25 people to accomodate our group and all 50 people were very happy with the result. Well worth the stop on the way going to or coming from the ferry ride to Canada.
