I loved it. The people were so nice. My boyfriend and I both loved it. I recommend it to any that wants a great day trip out.
So much of a variety of excellent wines, both reds and whites. Our server was so very personable! She actually enjoyed her job and the wine fanatics she served day after day! Our tasting fee was also applied to our purchase!
I wanted to visit a winery as well as the Vinter's Village in Prosser and was glad Hogue Cellars was my choice for the winery.Les was pouring and was delightful in his enthusiasm. There is a nice variety of wine related goods in the tasting room. I bought 2 bottles of wine and some chocolate - 2 of my favorite "food groups."
We were at Haggens Food in Ferndale Wa . and invited to a wine tasting by the store itself.Gary Hogue was there talking to another gentleman for over 10 minutes about the price of gas, never acknowledging us and we were the only two people, besides the other man there.Never said a word to us and we left without even tasting the wine, we would never buy any of their wine, because of his rudeness !!!! We understand that Constellation wines out of New York bought them out, so hopefully they will replace him to do their PR work
Enjoy your first glass of wine here, at Hogue Cellars. After all, they were one of the first famous, in the area! Then, find ample and amazing wineries all around! Favorites discovered on this trip were Mercer (oh YUM!), and the trip up to BEAUTIFUL Columbia Crest winery which offers a special place for a choice bottle and a picnic lunch on the vast lawn. HEAVEN!
I have a 1,000 bottle wine cellar and have some of the best wines in the world. I often purchase 95+ point WA and WS rated wines. This winery has literally over 15 to 20 different wines made here. Some are poor and some are 'ok'. None are fabulous. Very nice tasting room and some nice gifts. If you want to try a bunch of wine, go here.
We found Hogue by accident and from the outside it looked very sterile and warehouse-ish but once inside we were greeted with a smile and a raised glass. Always good wine.
