We had a group of 23 walkers who were ready to do a little wine taking and hopefully find something for lunch. We decided to go to Hyatt Vineyards since many of us like their wines and we also had heard they served food. When the group of us arrived, we found that only the owners were on staff. When we asked about the possibility of food (we had just completed a 6 mile walk) she looked at us and said, "sure, why not?" So, she took our orders while also running the wine tasting bar with her husband, then ducked into the kitchen and shortly produced plate after plate of perfectly prepared food that was all hot and being delivered at the same time!!! A couple of us volunteered to deliver as she continued to deliver the hot food.We all had great food and enjoyed a couple of bottles of wine that we had purchased. To add to this, the bill was more than reasonable for the food!!!What a perfect way to try out new wines, get a couple paired with hot food, and enjoy a wonderful day in the vineyards!!!
We went to several wineries, enjoying the tasting experience. We enjoyed all of them except for this one. The staff wasn't very friendly and rude. I asked a question about their mulbac and received a "canned" response, she wouldn't elaborate or discuss any of the wines in detail, maybe they didn't know very much about them? We left before finishing all six tastes due to their rudeness. As for the wines I liked the red blend the best but didn't stay long enough to buy any. We overheard someone else leaving and they thought the same thing about the staff. There are so many wineries in the area, my suggestion is to skip this one and go to one where you feel welcome.
Hyatt Vineyards is a staple for visitors to Yakima due to its picturesque setting and variety of wines to taste. They have whites and reds to sip while enjoying the views of Mt. Adams on the patio. The staff is friendly and the tasting room is nice. Good for a casual day of wine tasting.
The grounds and view are memorable. The winery has a nice selection of reds. Food and a nice selection of wine accessories are available. Glass view of the wine room from the tasting room.
A lovely winery with beautiful grounds and a large tasting room and excellent wines. A great spot for a picnic overlooking the vineyard.
Great location, beautiful view! Well worth the drive just north of the lovely city of Zillah. The Cascades are breathtaking and the wine if high quality.
This venue has picnic tables with lovely views. The nearby tasting room (and its restrooms) is air conditioned , offers wines and wine-related objects for sale and is definitely a worthwhile visit.
Weve been coming here for 8 years and no longer will due to the rude service from the older lady. We were told she's the manager.
I only found 1 wine on the menu that I really cared for and the rest of my group felt the same way. The grounds were nice though and they have a great sign at the entrance which is a wine bottle made from rocks. The girl helping us did not know much about the wine but the other person at the bar working was helpful.
We really enjoyed the wine here and they had some really good deals going on too. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
What a beautiful winery and area to relax and taste wine. They weren't as friendly as some of the others we visited but it was late and very close to closing time.
BEUTIFULL PROPERTY! We visited this winery twice in july. first was on a wine tasting trip and a week later for a picnic. The property amazing . lots of room and tables for a picnic, the view : BREATH TAKING! The wines are very good and the staff very friendly! Having a picnic at Hyatt vineyards is an absolute must! you can thank me later.
We opened the door to the tasting room and a blast of noise hit us - the place was packed. Once were able to get a spot at the bar we figured out why... all but one of their wines were $15 or less, and several were under $10.My favorite was the reisling which was on the sweet side but good to keep cold for friends who are just starting to drink/appreciate wine and haven't developed their palates yet.
We visited Hyatt Vineyards during the spring wine tasting. The wine was good, the buildings and grounds professional-looking, and the view was great. We were disappointed there were so many people (especially college kids - it was like spring break and everyone went to Hyatt), because we could hardly get around. I would go back, maybe not during the wine tasting weekend, and enjoy the place with fewer people.
