A very nice visitor center at the top of Hurricane Ridge, surrounded by mountains, snow and wildlife. Facilities were very clean, the displays were very informative about the area, nice giftshop, and a great place to sit and enjoy the beauty of the Olympic National Park!

In my experience, all visitor center at high elevation has great view, Hurricane Ridge is definitely one of those. Nice look out and grand structure, looks so much like you're in Austria~ I didn't try the food there but had an ice cream. Great picnic spots outside, just watch out for bugs~ Parking is not that hard to find if you come before noon.

We stopped at both Hurricane Ridge visitor's centers and they are both very nice and clean with a nice gift shop (clean restroom also). The staff were very nice and answered all of our questions.

The Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center is exactly that, a visitors' center. It offers a lot of merchandise; which is overpriced, and not worth buying!

The visitor's center was undergoing renovation when we visited, so there was not much there. Temporary facilities were in a metal building across the road. Restrooms had limited capacity, making for waiting lines at times.

Even though it was a drizzling day we headed out to see Hurricane Ridge to see what we may see. The drive up to the ridge had many pull over spots for gorgeous photo ops . The fog rising and blowing back in again keeps changing what you see and its all beautiful. Finally at the top and Wow ... windy windy!! We went inside to get out of the harder rain and found a very nice visitor center. We shopped for souvenirs, watched the informational movie, looked at the posted information then bravely set out to see what we could since the rain had turned to mere drizzle. Tons of fog kept us from clearly seeing into Vancouver but at times we had a better view than others and kept hiking up the ridges stealing ourselves from the blow you over wind! It was worth it ! No matter the weather go up and see the views you will be glad you did!! We got a bit of a chuckle seeing the snow markers along the drive that looked 10 - 12 feet high!

Staff there was very friendly and helpful. The building is very clean. There is a great outlook area. If there are clouds , be fast with the camera. One minute the shot is there , the next, it's gone

Friendly rangers, lots of educational stuff, drop off for bear proof food storage containers, clean bathrooms.

Hurricane Ridge is the highest place in Olympic National Park that you can easily reach by car. In one direction from the easy trails around the area you can see the ocean in one direction and snowcapped mountains in the other. Black-tailed deer are everywhere. As everywhere on the park's easy trails there are lots of informative signs that add to the experience. The Visitors Center is well equipped with rangers to provide information, souvenirs for sale, and a café to take care of your appetite. The view up there is spectacular and worth the drive up.

The center is well maintained. There is a restaurant, gift shop and most of the basic facilities for a traveller. We can the glaciers and mountain peaks from here. Open till 6 PM.

We loved it. It was beautiful and loaded with great stuff to buy. We bought T-shirts. They even had a really nice food/snack bar but it was closed. Don't know why they would close it in the middle of the height of the season. Eh.

This was an excellent visitors center with good exhibits, a video, gift shop, and an eatery for getting food at the top of the mountain. There are viewing areas outside that make it easy for everyone to maintain stable footing while they look at the snow-capped mountains in the distance. It was a terrific experience.

Yes, you must stop at the Visitor Center to get a park map. They can also tell you what the visibility is up on Hurricane Ridge. They will have a webcam for you to look at. Good place to buy a park souvenier, also.
