Interesting exhibits, educational but fun. If you go during the week, you might be able to listen in on a field trip information program and learn more about the migrating fish in the Columbia River. In good weather your kids can visit and feed the ducks in the creek outside!! For those looking for a venue for a large group function, there is a nice meeting room upstairs with kitchen facilities with big windows overlooking the well kept grounds and the river.
Great displays, lovely location and building, interested staff, interactive exhibits, worth a short visit, especially if you care at all about conserving our planet.
Perfect place to take the kids on a rainy day. Very educational and interesting information on the various rivers in the area and the fish that inhabit the area. Much information in the ecosystems..
Hey what can I say, take the kids and learn a little on a rainy day, there is no charge to visit, small but something to do when you cant find anything else.
Beautiful building, great place to rent to hold events, Clean, well equipped and good parking. The free educational activities are always great for kids.
Great learning experience and beautiful view of the Columbia river. Some wonderful hands-on activities for the kids.
This is a great place to take kids and adult's!! Very educational and allots off activities. Nice trail to walk around, and the best all is free!
This is a great place for families to bring their children for educational activities. It is also a great place to rent the upstairs beautiful conference room with kitchen. I have attended a 50th birthday party of a friend, a conference, a meeting, and every December I help host the Junior Symphony of Vancouver Christmas Concert there. It is a great place.
First of all: FREE. For family travelers looking for inexpensive activities, this is a must. There are many exhibits (focus is on keeping waterways and watersheds clean and healthy) for older kids plus a great small play area targeted for kids under three that is safe and clean. The location is very clean and there are nearby trails and city parks right on the river. There is a fabulous fountain that kids love to watch.
Been taking my dAughter here since she was a baby. She is now 5 and still loves it. Now we have a baby bog and he loves it here too. It's safe, clean , child-proofed, educational. Great community resource! And it's free! Great indoor play area for little ones.
This place was so awesome. My kids (ages 2-13) LOVED it! The displays were very informative and creative and kept my kids entertained while they also learned alot. My 2 year old had a blast in the little Puddles play area. I'm not sure why, but we were the only people there, the entire time. My kids could have stayed there for another couple of hours! The best part is there was no admission fee! I don't know that "water resources" is the best name for this place, because there was so much information on all kinds of resources.
Located just north of the Columbia Rivcer, this facility is extremely well managed and an excellent place for kids (and adults) to learn about our local environment and water resources.
This is a great stop if you have kids who might be bored on a rainy day (or ANY day!). Lots of neat exhibits and plenty of hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Highly recommended!!
