chester county transportation museum

The volunteers imparted extensive knowledge, and a genuine joy for sharing the history of Chester. We enjoyed all of the fun facts about the vehicles, trains, and the museum.

The Chester transportaton museum is very worth visiting. I was surprised at how much this very old, not yet fully renovated train depot holds. My spouse and I have visited transportation museums across the country, including some of the leading ones, and we were not disappointed. Our expectations were frankly very low, so imagine our surprise on seeing one of the rarest of Ford's cars, one that had been on display in the Ford museum itself, and on seeing a 1921 fire truck, Chester's first. There is a great collection of vehicles, though not all are fully restored yet. This small museum is very special and an incredible bargain for 2.00 a person. We will return and celebrate their progress.
