CLOSED - GONE When it was operating it was a nice little cruise 3 miles out of Little River Inlet that left the docks at 11 AM and 7 PM. They gave free food that wasn't so good and sometimes they has live music. The slots opened as soon as they got to the 3 mile limit - international waters. Then, the boat would slowly drift around until time to close the gambling and head back to Little River. The slow drifting often made some people sea sick, but for hardy souls it was fun, especially in pretty weather. Problem for some is this is a 5 - 6 hour trip for a few hours of gambling. The Big "M" casino boat is still sailing from Little River and enjoyed by many.
Clean boat. Friendly staff. Won a fortune. Beatiful ride. Reasonable entrance fee. Nothing else to say.
The staff is very nice and went out of there way to make sure we had a good time. From the GM to the waitresses. The Lady who sells the tickets is very nice and a good sales person. Food was good. The slot machines did not pay out that much but it is gambling. The entertainment was bad. Played the same song four times while the machines were on. Overall had a good time. If you are not used to the boat rocking in the waves do not go!
First of all we got a brochure at a hotel in MB. The picture on the brochure makes the boat appear that the ship is actually nice. NOT EVEN CLOSE The picture on the advertisement wasn't the boat at all. It was all closed in and the boat smelled like old throw up. The Tv's didn't work, there were non players card. The sport book was a slot machine and couldn't work bc it couldn't connect to the server. Bad over priced food. The casino feels as if you in a basement. It is completely closed in.
Decided to take a late afternoon to enjoy the ocean breeze and sunset view from the Sun Cruz Casino boat. I didn't expect the cruise would be more than four hours long with little to do after about two hours, especially with very few winnings. The rest of the time was spent sitting, watching a sparse crowd of mostly smokers, half-napping, or listening to comments by a few fellow cruisers who probably had one too many of the overly watered-down free drinks you get as long as you're playing slots and gambling. The live music on the upper deck was just unacceptable--wrong music, poor selection, and a mediocre vocalist. Prerecorded music was better but lacked diversity. When the ship finally docked, people crowded the exits and quickly escaped, ignoring the pseudo-friendly good-byes from what had been a dismissive, unfriendly staff. I've taken the other casino cruise, which was a nice, morning cruise, but the Sun Cruz Casino boat cruise experience was quite different.
Got a group package with suncruz for the 12 of us out there to play golf. Had some food, drank some drinks, and had fun gambling on the boat. They even opened up a seperate black jack table just for our group. Very accommodating and we had a blast!!
There is not enough variety of machines on this casino, the ship rocks so bad that Dramanine doesn't help, the food is way over priced, the machines don't pay out no money and the tables were not available for poker except one poker table. Save your money and go to a real casino folks!
We didn't go to the Casino to gamble. We were told by Watersports we could use the Casino restrooms. We walked up and the janitor was outside. We asked where restrooms were. He got hateful and said we couldn't use them. My husband tried to explain that we were sent there by Watersports. He began to curse. We walked off. Reported him to Watersports. Clerk called Steve, the manager and reported incident. They said they have an agreement with casino for restroom use. We went back to same area to another attraction, we were warned by the owners about not parking on Suncruz lot. She said they were not good neighbors. What a bunch of jerks!
Went for birthday celebration for the Mr. HORRIBLE TRIP.... Seasick people everywhere-no fault of ship. But the one DEALER in particular doesn't know his left from right. DEAL WHICH WAY???? REALLY SAD. Did I hear someone say "There are still pirates in South Carolina?" I'll stick to NJ and MS.........
If you play slots, forget this boat & go on Big M casino boat nearby. Sun Cruz has no place to insert your players club cards on slot machines & no one wins! Restrooms are dirty, food is awful, no views out of ship, tickets don't work in slot machines sometimes, in waves over 2 feet, very rocky ride !
Recently took a ride with Sun Cruz and had a great time! The staff is very friendly and Tim has things set up to make the experience even better. Dan, in the poker room, keeps things running smoothly while Chris and Brian deal the cards and keep the games lively. You have to see the Dynamic Duo too...Dana and Fabiana! They are easily the funniest, most welcoming server team I have ever seen...and very pretty to boot! They are always smiling, engaging customers and keeping everyone in a good mood. Sorry if I left out any names, but it's safe to say that the entire crew is a great group. Win or lose, you'll have a good time. If you win, you'll just have a BETTER time! LOL
I have spent a lot of time with Suncruz. It is not the highest class boat but they have good fair slots that you can win big money on. I have won several thousand dollars on this boat. Will you win every time you play? No, that is why it is called gambling. But they are fair compared to the land based casinos and other boats. The crew is very friendly and down to earth. The food is good. The atmosphere is not going to impress you but you will have a good time. Remember to gamble sensibly............
2nd time going. Had an awesome time. Great people great service. Will return next year..Tim was an awesome person and helped us whenever possible and the 1st mate was great eye candy along with the spring sunset....
The crew was very helpful and friendly! Sat outside on the open deck while going out and watched the sunset. Beautiful! Can't wait to go out again!Nancy P.
My wife and I went on Suncruz ship in little river to play poker and slots. The game was very well organized and the dealers were nice. Only gripe is poker players don't get free drinks, but my wife played slots and got free drinks all night so at least one of us was drinking for free. It was nice to play a free tournament to pass time on the way out...too bad they don't play another one on the way in, but they did have a bingo game. We paid $20 for 2 burgers and fries and it was worth every penny. I did not expect to get a "real' beef burger on a boat. I would recommend this trip to anyone...We had a blast!!
