the happy berry

We enjoying stopping at The Happy Berry when we are at our home on Lake Keowee. We love to bring friends to pick blackberries (June), blueberries (June/July) and also buy corn and fresh laid eggs. It is a pick your own farm and they will direct you to the best areas to pick for the time that you are there. Each time our teenage daughter has a friend stay, we go berry picking. It is fun and can become very addictive. We have picked too much at times. In these cases we just freeze them, or, put them in pancakes, muffins on salads, etc. It can be hot in the sun so wear sunscreen and hats and be aware that bees do help to have higher yields, so just let them be;)
