The Aerial Adventure Park, in Keystone, is Fantastic!! It is Fun and Challenging for Ladies & Gentlemen, Boys & Girls of ALL Ages!! It is a Great Place to "Get-out-of-the-car" and have a Huge amount of Fun!! The high ropes courses are of various levels of difficulty & challenge. NONE of them require You to be especially strong!!! All of them do call on resourcefulness and balance. ALL OF THEM, EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, ARE TOTALLY SAFE & SECURE!!! The staff there is full of Fine, Friendly, Encouraging and Acutely Safety Conscious Folks! The views, while You are on the courses, are Amazing, when You are looking Out...or In !!! Fun Challenges! Great Safety!! Good Adventures!!! What is there NOT to like??? This is the Finest Attraction in Keystone!!!...and then You can go on to SYLVAN ROCKS, and Climb the Real Rock in the Needles of the Black Hills !! Becom a True Rock Star !!!!!!!!!!

Our kids 10 and 12 did the Aerial Adventure portion (not the Zip Line part). It was a fantastic experience with three levels that the kids can self pace themselves through. The third level requires an adult actually go up with them. Superb, safety conscious staff with great attention to detail and safety. Although the Aerial Adventure portion is essentially self guided, there were plenty of staff on the course watching every body closely and offering very helpful suggestions and helping everyone feel comfortable. I had read the other reviews on TripAdvisor before we went and our experience confirmed the positive reviews.

This zipline park was not what I expected. It requires a fair amount of balance and it tests your endurance. It was fun but sometimes kind of scary. If you do not like heights this is not for you. I would not recommend it for children who are not adventuras.

We visited during the 3rd week of August in 2014. It was a great experience. The staff trains you on how to work the locking "tweezles". Then you are on your own. I visited with my 13 y.o. son, 11 y.o. daughter and 7 y.o. son. It takes a littl while to get used to locking and unlocking the tweezles, but once you get the hang of it you are off and running. I stayed with my 7 y.o. son, as he was having a little trouble with the locking and unlocking. You really have to make sure you give them a good push, otherwise, you can end up with both of them locked on the cables, which can be frustrating. We all did the green loop to start. My oldest son and daughter figured it out immediately and went on to the blue loop. After the green orientation loop, my 7 y.o. son went and did another green loop on his own.The staff helpers are on the ground and watch to see if anyone has trouble. My daugther had trouble with a zip line, and the staff member got up onto the zip line and brought her in. The helpers were always available, but sometimes i saw them sitting around checking their phones. I personally don't think they should be on their phones while doing that job.I did the blue, and then the black loop. The difficulty of the black loop is real and is not for the faint of heart.I met the owner's son who manages the facility. He told me they will be adding attractions in the off season.Take a small camera or phone along and get some great shots up in the trees.My wife stayed on the ground and took photos. I am sure she wished she had done it too. You will have a blast.When you pay for this, you get a "lift" ticket with a time on it (for 90 minutes). I think they are supposed to kick you out after your time expires, but on the day we were there, it was not very crowded, so we were able to stay as long as we liked.Tip: go on a course that is not crowded. It can be very frustrating to sit behind a slow group.

Kids really enjoyed Zip-lining here. It was a good place for them to try it out and they enjoyed it. It is a short zip-line but one that would be good for beginners to give it a whirl. The Keystone area is a nice place to visit.

I went with a group of friends (a bunch of 40-45 year olds) and all our kids ranging from 7-14 years old. I believe the adults only did each section once but the kids went again and again on their favorite sections. There are levels ranging from easy (yellow) to hard (black) so you could choose just how much of a challenge you wanted.We all had fun. Some of the kids had done it the prior year and were super excited to go again. It is a little pricey but if you check around online you can usually find a coupon for $5 off each adult ticket. The staff fits each individual with a tethered harness and teaches you how to use it correctly before they let you go. This course lets you zip line, cross planks, bars, ladders and all sorts of other obstacles to get from tree to tree. There are also plenty of staff around just in case you "get stuck" and need a little extra help. While we were there a staff member used a ladder to help a child get down after he decided he just didn't want to do the harder course he was on. Super group of staff members.

My 10 year old son and I did it, wow what a rush.. Was lots of fun. Was kinda pricey but not something you do everyday. Very safe and professional. Was well worth every penny!

I would travel back to South Dakota just to do this adventure park again! This course includes ropes, zip lines, planks that you walk across. All with the protection of being in a tethered harness. Myself and a 12 yr old did this, along with some friends for the 90 min course. If time would have allowed we would have stayed and done it again. Wear good solid shoes ( I wore my closed toed Keen's) and arrive first thing in the morning. It got pretty busy about the time we were leaving.

We took our 3 kids on this and they enjoyed it, but it was very quick for what we paid for it and not as scenic as I thought it might be. We've done zip lines in Mexico and Antigua that were much better. Has to top those.

My son and husband did the course. Our son loved it! They started on an easy run and ended on a really tough one. He said it was scary at first but at the end--no problem. There was one part of the last run where they walked on a single rope with another single rope to hold on. That was the only thing that kept them from falling. My son did fine but I feared for my husband's life! Not to worry though they are hooked up and attached to the runs by a harness-- just in case. The aerial parts were challenging and the zip lines in between were so much fun. Both had a great time. My son can't wait to go to another aerial park. Now about the park. I thought the set up was good. They go over how to wear the harness, how to use it, how to hook yourself up to the runs. They have the runs color coded almost like ski runs according to difficulty. Young kids can't go on the more difficult runs without an adult. It's good exercise, it's out doors, it's a good confidence booster. The employees are well trained.

Am not gonna lie...our kids aged 7 and 10 LOVED this attraction and it was a great confidence booster for both of them. It also gave poor Mom and Dad a near heart attack at times as we did not purchase tickets for ourselves after being reassured there were "lots of staff around to help" should the kids run into trouble (we observed from the ground). Well, the day we were there, staff assistance was pretty slim. Luckily our kids caught on to managing the carabiners, "tweezle" locks and zipline apparatus pretty quickly and didn't have too much trouble. Those needing extra help (both kids and adults) often got hung up on various platforms with no one available (except other participants) to coach them through. Having been there now, I would definitely recommend an adult accompany younger children, especially if they progress to more complicated courses - believe me there were a couple of times I held my breath hoping to goodness my son had that zipline apparatus attached correctly. Orientation prior to accessing the courses was a little too short for my liking, especially considering most people would not have previous climbing experience. I also found it curious staff allowed a child with a casted arm and a woman with her foot in an orthopedic boot to access the park. Overall, it was a neat experience that my children enjoyed, but safety-conscious parents should go up with their kids - don't be silly like us and rely on assurances that park staff will be readily available to help!

I got more than I bargained for on this deal. They put you in harnesses and give you a quick class on how to connect and disconnect from each type of course (small zip line or obstacle course) in mid air. You start at the easy level first before graduating to the higher levels. If your not in shape good luck on blue or black. If you are afraid of heights this IS NOT the thing for you. Kids love it and some adults do too. Heights above ground on small platforms from 5-50 feet. It's like a confidence course more than obstacle course. It can be very challenging but very rewarding at the same time. You get an hour and a half but they allow you whatever time you need to do the activities.

Expensive (be prepared to shell out $110 for 2 adults and a child), but totally worth it. You get 2 hours on the course and are both challenged with some difficult parts and rewarded with several zip lines. There are 5 courses and we were able to get through 3 of them with our 9 year old. Keep an eye on the platforms so you don't choose a course that will have you waiting for a long time for the people in front of you. On our last run of the day we got behind a young boy (and his mom) who was terrified and took probably 4 times longer than "average". Maybe most people would let you go past them at one resting point, but they didn't so we didn't get done as much as we wanted. Still, super fun. We just did the adventure park, not the big zipline.

We did the aerial adventure park with two adults and three kids age 14, 11 and 8. After going through the instructions with the staff we were a little concerned that it would be a little much for our youngest, but by the end of the yellow (easiest) course he was better at all the switching and twizzeling than the adults. Every member of our family loved this activity. We did not pay to do the long zip line and didn't feel that we missed out since there were several zip lines included in the aerial adventure park.

Travelled with my husband and 7 y/o daughter, I had done some research on Trip Advisor before our trip and thought the zip line and ropes course looked like a blast!! We arrived a little earlier than the stated opening time (10 am) filled out our waivers, and purchased our tickets for both activities. We chose to do the zipline first. The staff assisted us with everything--they were super helpful and friendly. Everyone loved the zipline ride...but my daughter thought it was awesome!! She would have gladly done this over and over, but we figured we should head on over to the ropes course instead.I'm going to be honest, I thought my daughter would love the ropes course. However, after staff gave us a short instructional and safety briefing....I was a little hesitant. It's actually a little more complicated then I first thought. The process of moving your safety harnesses and "twizzling??" your clamps may be a bit cumbersome for the average 7 year old. All three of us did the yellow course together. Me first, my daughter second, and my husband last...so that we could assist her when needed. There is NO WAY she would have been able to do it on her own. Of course, I realize every kid is a little different....but there were several times she struggled, even with us there. If you have younger kids, and are not planning on having an adult up there with them, I would maybe consider having them watch the instructional portion, see if they can perform the necessary tasks, and then buy your ticket....because it's not cheap!! The course itself is challenging and very fun. My only recommendation is to make sure you know exactly what you are getting into (especially with younger children) first. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience. The staff are extremely efficient and friendly, and when my daughter is a little older...I have no doubt we will return!!
