The arts center is a most interesting collection of unique pieces of art work offered by local artists. A very enjoyable place to see ,friendly staff to answer all your questions . I enjoyed this very much and purchased some beautiful note cards with envelopes.

While staying in Spearfish, South Dakota, we did a lot of wandering around the downtown area, which is wonderfully nice and homey. We stopped into the art gallery/store and the (extremely nice girl that was working there took us next door, through the Opera House. The opera house itself has been remodeled back to it's original beauty and they did a great job on it. It has bits of history all around the walls, and what our "tour guide" didn't tell us, we could read about and see for ourselves. Unfortunately, we were not there during any of the scheduled shows, so we didn't get to see it alive and bustling, but it was still beautiful and worth the stop. I can't post any pictures at this time because unfortunately when I returned home, my home computer wiped my photo card, and I lost all my pictures from this trip, so I only have memories.

A sweet venue for plays and music! Comfortable seating, great entertainment! Renovation efforts are remaining true to the era when the Opera House was first built. The Art Council are doing a tremendous job in bringing in top notch entertainment!

Beautifully restored theater with absolutely amazing presentaton of drama by local performers as well as wonderful selection of professional performers from across the nation.
