The playhouse is certainly worth visiting while you are in the Black Hills. They offer a variety of shows during the summer. The shows vary in quality based upon the selection. Overall, the staff works very hard to put on a great show and is certainly worth the price.

We are a professional theater associated with the University of South Dakota and it is true that not every play is family friendly as the season is chosen for a balance of comedy, drama and musicals, as well as the educational aspects that the works offer for students of theatre. We do try to find productions that a wide variety of people will enjoy and produce them professionally. Ratings and descriptions are posted on our website @ www.blackhillsplayhouse.com and ticket reservations open in March so families can plan their vacation experiences according to their personal tastes!
