We've attended two concerts at the Grand and both times we've found everything about this venue the perfect place for a fun concert experience. They have sufficient staff to get you seated in time, as well as attendants for valet parking. They have several bars in place also so waiting time isn't too horrible. Seats are extremely comfortable. Very rustic feel - it really is an old mine that's been renovated. Great acoustics.
We had a great time at Deadwood Mountain Grand. We went there and saw the comedian Ron White. He was quite funny. The showroom was packed; its a little hard to find one's seat so do give yourself time to do so. There is places to buy beer, etc. close to the seating area. Before and after the show we played here and for a while were up, came out basically even after a few hours.Staff was pleasant and the place seemed well run.
Happened to see concert for country singer at this resort. Great seats and pleasant venue. Easy to access within town, esp. With trolley.
We had pizza and pasta. Both great. Fun time gambling. Attended a concert. Great atmosphere all around. Beautiful casino, event center, dining and hotel. Parking very convenient staff very polite.
We love this place. Saw Big & Rich again there this summer, it is always a great place for gambling and drinking, and they get some really good concerts into this place. First rate casino and atmosphere in this historic town.
This is a great place to gamble and enjoy yourself. The food at the bar is awesome and you want to try the wings. If they have a bloody mary bar going on, you need to try it. All of the fixings. We broke about even and possibly a little ahead but the staff was well worth it.
Great new Casino With nice bar and restaurant .Great Service. Food was good and big portions.Casino games are to tight.
We have now been to Deadwood twice and going and again, yearly I would say. This is a very nice casino, have not stayed there but have played there.
Everyone was very friendly at the casino! They even gave me a little birthday gift!! A really neat city to visit! Look like a old western town with a lot of history!! Had a lot of fun!!
Went to the Grand Grille restaurant for lunch. It was quiet. The server was nice. Be prepared, however, to wait for a loooong time to get your food (we got pasta). And the walk from the table to the restrooms is pretty far. The food was a good break from burgers in town.
Willie Nelson just happened to be performing here during our annual tek from the west coast to the Midwest...the Deadwood Grand is a Holiday Inn Resort/Casino. The Event Center is better suited to receptions and exhibits than to concerts. Acoustics are OK. Their is one large monitor and unless you are seated near the front you will need it. All seats are on one level with no risers, so you don't see much on stage. And be I ng cowboy country their are hats. The location is convenient to downtown Deadwood. Parking was readily available.
I attended the Willie Nelson concert here. Main reason for my visit but we did stay inside after the concert and play blackjack and some slots. Fun evening and nice casino. We also had dinner inside before the concert. It was very good and our waitress made sure we got in and out in time to see the show.
We were recommended to eat here as it is a kid friendly restaurant. The hostess(es) were great but the wait staff was lacking. The young lady left a pitcher of Pepsi for us since most of us were drinking it but failed to refill the other sodas. It took a lot of staring to finally get the attention of the waitress to ask her a question- never did check back in and see how our meal was. 4 of us were served and one of my kids had to wait a good 10 minutes longer for her food :( Got the bill and we were charged incorrectly and never did receive the treats that come with the kids menu. Overall a very dissatisfying experience. It's highly unlikely we would go there a second time to eat... Best part though was the lagusana(sp?)
We've eaten at the Deadwood Mountain Grand twice (great service), but the concert venue leaves a lot to be desired. The concert 'hall' (looks like it's a multi-use space) acoustics are not what you would expect from a newly designed concert venue...there is no visible sound absorption so with a concrete floor and exposed ductwork, you can just about imagine how the sound bounces off the walls and floor and everything else. The concerts we attended were in March 2014 and August 2014 - the one in March was better (maybe his sound people were better), but Randy Houser's concert felt like we were being yelled at - it was way too loud for the space and you couldn't understand the lyrics very well.
Met some friends for dinner we had not seen in about 10 years so lots of catching up! Very appreciative that the wait staff understood this and didn't hover, but were still very attentive! The food was very good, the staff excellent and atmosphere petty quiet for being in a casino!
