This is a great waterpark. The kids always have a great time on the slides and lazy river. They have a great little setup for the smaller kids, it has lots of slides and sprays. They could use more seating.

This is a nice waterpark for teenagers and smaller children, they seem to run out of inner tubes for the lazy river and for the tubes which was a little disappointing since you need that for so many things you would think they would have plenty to go around. I recommend getting there early so you have a place to sit.
This is a fabulous indoor water park with retractable glass roof. The have numerous slides for all levels and the fun one is to watch my kids swirl around the top and then all of the sudden get sucked into the water slide and out to the pool. They have a very nice and long lazy river and for the little kids, buckets and sprays that they can work and climb on. A lot to do there. The have a indoor gaming area with some snack and 2 adjacent hotels.

We went with another family and stayed in the Laquita. The rooms were nice and clean. The park was fantastic. It was cold out so having somewhere warm to take the kids was wonderful. All the kids and adults were completel drained from all the fun we had. The lifegaurds were great too. My husband lost his glasses on the slide and one helped us find them. I would suggest this to anyone looking for an exciting and reasonably priced family activity
The slide life guard ehere flurting with each other more than working. The super bowl would had been fun but two girls spent fourty five min circle the bowl I about hit them twice going down it was sunday the 18th 6:30 pm employees did seem impress with there jobs enough to even make me enjoy it
This place had it all. An awesome arcade, with some super nifty games, an attached restaurant and bar, and lots of heat!! Its an awesome place to go when the weather isn't so great.
Get your family together and stay at the Watiki Indoor Waterpark. This family friendly environment is fun and safe for the entire family. It is also a whole hotel and is also very nice. Good customer service, good but pricey meals and great cleaning quality. It is a perfect place to stay for at least a weak and also good for just touring the area. It is very close to Cody Wyoming, and around an hour from the famous Rushmore Monument. Fun and enjoyable.
We have been to Watiki dozens of times but it has been a while since our last visit. My daughter and I used to come at least once a week but we stopped because it interfered with her swimming lessons. Before today we only had one bad experience. Which was a lack of attention from 2 lifeguards when a fat guy got between me and my daughter and she went under the water. The two guys just stood there chatting without a care in the world. However, I figured this was an isolated incident, I complained at the time because I was pissed but we still came back. Today however!!! I am not impressed at all. I am currently sat here with my whole family. It is the first time my 18 month old has been here in the pools and I am not happy with what i see.So far I have seen every single lifeguard in their phone at some point. One at the top of the big slides even pulled out the phone right in front of me and then just gave a quick thumbs up. And this was not an isolated incident today!! Every single one of them I have seen on their phones so I am scared to take my eye of my kids for one second. This is not my only conplaint today! The pool with the basketball hoops is ice cold and filthy, yes I understand it is cold outside but when you pay a good amount of money to get in this place then you expect to be able to use the whole facility. Also, the rubber floors feel like they are falling apart under your feet. And the stairs going up to the slides have paint coming off that gets stuck to your feet. The bowl slide doesn't have enough water running down it so you get stuck while going round the bowl and going into a spin which scared the crap out of my four year old. I hope that when the company who owns this place builds the expansion on to this place they update some things here because it needs it!!I will be back because my kids love it but I hope something's improve quickly!!
Took grandchildren to have fun on a cold day. They enjoyed it. The four year old especially enjoyed the lazy river. It was a weekend so was very crowded. They were running out of towels a lot, but I am not sure it was the fault of the facility but rather the people there and the fact it was super crowded. They did have a few life jackets for little ones who do not swim. There were balls and inner tubes available. There are bathrooms, changing rooms, and lockers (there is a fee). You can order food but service was slow and the food was mediocre. You go upstairs to buy your tickets and they give you wristbands to wear. The arcade is also there where you buy tickets. Check out the website for the types of things they have. It is located between the two hotels-LaQuinta and Fairfield Suites. They have regular season and off season hours.www.watikiwaterpark.com
I lived in Rapid City when this place was built so I saw what it was like when it was new and had gone several times after, I also grew up close to Wisconsin Dells....the Water Park Capital of te World. The place used to be very nice, it seems they just haven't kept it up. The slides are still fun and never get old. The stairs going up to the slides are disgusting, it wasn't noticed the last time I was here (Christmas 2012). There was actually green stuff (algae or moss?) growing on the stairs. There was also old gum squished into the stairs, and just gross dirty stuff...don't know what it is. They really need to clean it up. The hot tub has a dripping waterfall over it and the wall where the water drips is just nasty...I remember it being slightly gross last time, but it appears to be growing. The food is good I thought and always has been, good Pizza they'll bring right to your table in the waterpark. It seems slightly pricey but if your staying at the hotels attached or it's a certain day of the week they usually have deals/specials for you. We got a large pizza, 2 sodas, 2 kids meals for $16.28 and it was a Sunday. Now onto the most noticeable problem and my BIGGEEST complaint which I will be calling them about. The lifeguards. They don't care one bit about your child's safety and it's VERY obvious. One female lifeguard actually had her back towards the water for at least 30 minutes talking to a fellow lifeguard. A male lifeguard who was "watching" the kids play area actually looked the other direction (towards the tables and chairs) as he walked the circle around it. Another male lifeguard who was suppose to be patrolling the kid area was sitting on the clean towel cart...really?? I know some may say they're young people who don't care about their jobs BUT, the waterparks in Wisconsin Dells you don't see this - they are standing, alert, and patrolling the area, and they all have specific areas so there are no blind areas....so not so at WaTiki. There are a lot of areas where the lifeguards can't see. There were some boys trying to climb up the rock around the lazy river and jump in the 3 feet deep lazy river. Being a fan of Waterparks this one is sure lacking in several areas, but we'd still probably come back since we do enjoy the actual rides, lazy river, and kid area. Isis Hospitality and WaTiki will be getting a call from me about the Lifeguard concerns though.
Be on guard and watch your children. Very few lifeguards and they are completely dissinterested in watching the swimmers. Was there on two different days and observed it each time. Either they are standing around talking to each other or playing with their hair and watching the sky. Water park gets completely chaotic because no one enforces the rules.
The "lifeguards" don't seem to really care. The three water slides are good though. I wish we had been more organized and brought less stuff with us into the park because the large lockers cost $15. There are smaller lockers that cost less so that was our fault for bringing too much to fit into a smaller locker.
We have been to several waterparks and this one was by far the worst. We could only see 3 lifeguards and they were focused on the back half where the big slides are. The one that did come over by the lazy river was picking up towels and wiping tables while children were running all over. NO ONE was using tubes in the lazy river! Little kids, big kids and young adults with babies/ toddlers were running, swimming and jumping around in the lazy river. I got knocked down by a running kid as I was getting out of the tube I'd been using. I told the lifeguard and he said " they don't really have to be in tubes". I told him the rules clearly stated that you must be seated in a tube. The hot tub was nice until unsupervised kids came in playing as if it was a regular pool. We stayed in one of the adjoining hotels specifically for the waterpark. We will not be returning, nor will we recommend this to our friends.
