I am the biggest fan of Koka Booth. Do not listen to negative reviews focus on the positive. Here are just some of the amazing concerts I have witnessed: Bob Dylan, Kings of Leon, Willie Nelson, John Mayer, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Fiona Apple, Little Big Town, Robert Plant (Led Zepelin), and more. The setting of a sun going down behind a brightly lit stage, huge trees, and a nearby lake is nature's gift. The staff are exceptional and very friendly. Food and alcohol are available and moderately priced compared to other music venues. It's worth noting that concert goers are some of the nicest and well-behaved here. Grab a blanket and come enjoy!
Too bad they have almost no good shows anymore. I take it town of Cary got too uppity and priced themselves out of the market. I hate that as it great. Not a bad seat, not crowded, no bad seats, easy in and out. Like night and day with parking and crowds compared to walnut creek and the new one downtown.
We have been to Koka Booth Amphitheatre many times since moving to Cary. It is a great outdoor venue for watching concerts. There is generous outdoor seating where you can bring a blanket or lawn chair. We prefer to spend a little extra money and sit at a table in the covered area. It is farther from the stage but much more comfortable. Concession stands are within feet of your seat and servers regularly visit your table. You can bring a bottle of wine to a symphony concert but any other concert requires you buy beer and wine inside Koka Booth. It is easy to get in and out of the parking lots. We usually spend $10 for the close-in parking although it is not necessary. Getting out of the parking lots after the show is easy as the staff has it down to a science.
We have gone to Koka Booth for movies and wine events. It has a nice open air atmosphere. Everything they offer is well planned and executed and they even offer wine and beer in the concession area. Great way to watch and outdoor movie.
Easy in/easy out. Great food choices. Fun place for movies by moonlight. Great concerts. Fourth of July celebration is perfect! Staff is friendly and does a great job!
this place is so beautiful and special. It is super easy to get in and out and the parking is a breeze. Don't miss an opportunity to spend a quiet summer evening here!
LOVE the location, quiet, cute and extraordinary! Location is off the beaten track - is this good? Only if you love to go to a unique venue for sing-along movies, intimate concerts or other interesting events. Parking is easy, access to the park is lovely. Small vending area has a few choices. Biggest concern is the small amount of toilets! Other than that, loved the outing! Will definately go again!
There is always something going on there; name singers, bands local and national, dramatic performers dinner theater, movies and lots more. Great 4th of July patriotic type music every year. They also do lots of special events such as corporate catered picnics. Some events are free.Check their website and local papers, find out what's going on and pay them a visit.
Very nice venue! Polite staff. Food resonabley priced for a venue. Bathrooms clean~Ombiance was really nice
This is the best venue for concerts in the area. Sound is amazing. Wish they had more performers coming. You need to arrive early to get decent space up front with your chairs but again it's worth it. Safe for families, good food options and reasonable. The best.
First, I have to admit that the last time I was here for an event was July 2013, but that wasn't an option on the trip advisor app. However, I have attended several concerts at this venue and therefore feel qualified to write a review. My first time at Koka Booth was in 2005, shortly after moving to the area. I immediately fell in love with this intimate, outdoor venue. Since then, I've been to six (maybe 7) concerts here and a couple of their wine tasting events. And I plan on going next month to see Darius Rucker. It's such a nice setting, right next to a lake, and the venue is not so big that the performers look like little ants on the stage. They offer great food and beverage options (try the "picnic in the park" option, which you book in advance online), and parking prices are very reasonable (I have never paid more than $5). Just bring a chair or blanket and sit back with a bottle of wine under the stars. I imagine the only downside to this venue is the concerts are typically over by 10pm due to Cary Town ordinances. Overall, this is my favorite venue in the Raleigh/Cary area.
During the summer, movies are ONLY $3.00, all ages and you can bring your own cooler in with beer, wine, sodas, a full picnic, ect. Kids are usually throwing around the Frisbee and having tons of fun! Bring your own lawn chair.
This is a very good venue for concerts and other special events. Easy to get in and out of with ample parking.
We attended a "sing along with Grease - The Movie". It was well attended and the host kept the crowd engaged. The food and drink was good and the weather was perfect for an evening movie. Staff there is always helpful from the parking people to the ticket takers and service folks. Thanks for a nice evening!
Excellent logistics, free parking & wonderful outdoor acoustics. Great food & beverage vendors for concerts. Can bring coolers for Movies with kids, etc.
