This is a really nice public golf course. Wide open fairways here. The course has nice holes, is well maintained, has friendly staff, and is not too expensive.

Staff worked hard to make our time at the course pleasant. Golf course fun and in good shape. Adjustments were made to allow our food to stay refrigerated until ready to eat at the turn vice at the onset of play.

Has always been one my favorite courses in town. Course is always in great shape. Challenging but rewarding, you can definitely score if you keep it in the fairway...

This is a great golf course and the people there were very nice. The challenge was not knowing the course meant a lot of blind shots so I had to okay it twice. The greens were in great shape and rolled true. I'd recommend if you're in the area.

Sorry you thought the course was not worth the price. We have the best maintained public course in the Charlotte area, and have lots of very happy customers at the $65 rate. Our Food prices are not quite as high as your exaggerated examples, and we have DO have combo pricing with side items and a drink for $7.95 on most days.Thanks for your comments, and I hope you will come back to give it another chance.

Played a three-some round here today, cart path only due to heavy rain overnight. The greens are the best in the area for public play courses, and the fairways are in great shape. The greens are large and undulating, putting will be challenging as the greens get faster with summer weather. Pace of play was fine, the round was done in under 4 hours with cart path only rule. This probably the best choice for a public play course in the Charlotte area.

Thanks for the review. We make every effort to provide a friendly staff and excellent experience for our guests. It sounds like you enjoyed the course. I understand not wanting to hit from mats. The grass teeing area on the range will be opening within the next 2 weeks, but we limit range use to the mats during the winter so the turf is is good shape for the prime part of golf season.As for the food prices, we are always looking for ways to provide excellent food, and we will review some of the pricing to make sure we are in line with the market.I hope you decide to return and enjoy the course again sometime.

Rocky River was probably in the best condition it has been in some time. Lush fairways, and very smooth greens. The layout has always been one of the best around. Even though it is jammed between Z-Max Dragway and the over-developed Concord Mills, Charlotte Motor Speedway complex, only a little traffic noise will impact the experience. The course features gently rolling terrain, several holes bordered by substantial protected wetlands, and beautifully contoured and challenging greens. The only thing that took away from an otherwise perfect experience was the "surly" guy that checked us in. It is never nice to hear, "you're cutting it close, you need to hustle it up"' as the first thing out of a guys mouth...especially at 755AM on a beautiful golf day. He needs to be working somewhere else.

Located next to the Embassy Suites where we stayed. Great looking course that is challenging but not punishing. Can play 18 or just nine in the afternoon. Well staffed and well maintained. Great value. You will feel like you have been released into the beautiful North Carolina countryside. Flowers, ponds and the songs of birds--what else do you need to have a fun day of golf.

Purchased coupons online and they pulled the old bait and switch scheme. When we got there, we ended up paying $30 more to play. And we were not the only ones. There were others who fell for the same scheme. My suggestion would be not to purchase coupons online to play this course. We purchased through clickit and still had to pay more to play. The course was ok but certainly not worth the money they charge to play.

Great Course, excellent condition and nice facilities. Play here often and you can find good deals online.

It had been a couple of years since I had played regularly and I had lost my swing. While in Concord visiting relatives I took some golf lessons from Ryan Brickley. He didn't drastically try to change my swing and didn't make the changes too complicated. After the third lesson I was able to hit the ball consistently with all my clubs. I also played golf there one day and thought the course was in great shape for March. All staff were very friendly. I would go back again and play golf there.
