We booked the lower barn. Lots of space and tables, but random people were able to walk through party (which I knew in advance) but I just didn't realize how many would!Park rangers asked us to move our party sign in the dirt out front b/c the party outside complained... Park itself has plenty of activities for the kids.
indoor shelter available, 3 mile part wooded path, lake, fenced baseball diamonds, pet friendly, well policed and maintained. overall a very good park.path is amenable to running and walking. part paved. measured. soccer, etc fields, wildlife, restrooms, tennis courts. it does not get much better and only improvement would be to have it open more often.
This park is huge. They have hiking trails, a nice lake to walk around, and playgrounds for the kids, scattered throughout the park. I find it hard to give less than 5 stars to any open, public areas, like parks, because they are great to have and great to use. This one is clean, well kept, has bathrooms onsite, and you can even rent little boats when in season. The only warning is, watch out for the Canadian Geese and their droppings.. people have been feeding them, so they are there, and sometimes, a lot of them. There are also soccer fields, volleyball court, pavillions, etc. Great park.. very large open fields..
While there are a number of activities that you can do at this county park, the one that I've done are 5k foot races. The park has a wonder running path that goes mostly around the perimeter of the park. It is shaded by trees in much of the area and hugs a lake in another part of the park. There is some elevation change, but it is not so much that you think the hill will never end. The path is made from finely ground stone which is easier on your knees than concrete but stands up to wet weather better than a dirt path.
I go here often. Park rangers are very nice, safe place to work out and well maintained. The trails are kept up and we enjoy feeding the ducks and on occasion fishing in the large pond. They also now offer frisbee golf.
Plenty of space, clean and well kept, away from town and traffic yet still close enough to everything, great facilities for nearly anything you'd like to do from playing ball to just taking a relaxing stroll. This is a great family park. Yeah, there is a lot of "geese goo" - and that's a downer - but how do you stop it?
Come here once a year for a celebration. The park is small but nice. Very clean, well kept, and it is not far from the local attractions such as Concord Mills and Carolina Mall.
nice park with very long walking or jogging trail, tennis courts, mini golf, lake with paddle boats, softball fields, kids play areas, and a new disc golf course (18 holes). disc golf course is extremely long.
Great family park with tons of activities. We've even played softball here in the league's. A lot of people come here to do kid/ family pictures. The one negative is the amount of geese...watch where you step!!!
This is a great park with lots of activities for all ages. Bring your camera and forget you iPad. There are many activities to do from walking trails, disc golf, paddle boats and ball fields. Lots of open spaces to fly a kite. The area we enjoy most is the putt-putt course. 18 plain simple holes. No windmills, clown mouths or water hazzards. Just plain simple holes and fun. I bring my 90 yr old mother out as a form of physical therapy. Sometimes she needs to use her walker or wheelchair so it is handicap accessible. She now even ask to come out every week. The only hole you will have problem accessing is the top of the 18th hole. Games are $2 a person so very reasonable for those on a budget, large family or senior citizens. There is concession stand where you play to pay and the refreshments are reasonable too. Friendly staff and hours are better than some of the neighboring parks that won't allow you to play if you arrive after 3 pm.
My family and I frequent this park to utilize the playgrounds, running and fitness trails, and a place to picnic or grill out. Paddle boating is fun and can be done on the weekends. They host great camps for local families, and you can if you are live in Cabarrus County, you can reserve a shelter for half day for free! I always see people here having a great time. I love the addition of the Frisbee goal too! Several soccer and baseball tournaments are held here, and the fields are kept pristine.
Whether you go to relax, play, exercise or hang with family and friends Frank Liske Park is a perfect place. Easy to get in and out of. Lots of trails, picnic tables, a big pond, grills, tennis courts, soccer and baseball/softball fields, play grounds, putt putt. Loads of family fun to be had.
We went to the park Mothers Day to fish. I must say this park is awesome. It is very spacious, clean and there is plenty of parking. The lake area really is beautiful with all of the ducks. You can find plenty of trees to setup for a picnic as well. I will be back!
This is a beautiful affordable place to take little ones. It does get crowded but we can usually find a place for a picnic. There are many play areas so if one is too crowded or the kids are too rough (I have little girls) we just move on to another one. You can also do paddle boats and mini golf for just a few dollars. It is an extremely affordable option for a special day out with kids. There are also lots of trails for running or walking and there is a fitness trail that has exercise stations all along. No charge to enter the park, play on the playgrounds or for the trails!
10 acre lake for fishing($1with NC fishing license) and paddle boating($2), picnic shelters, picnic sites, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playgrounds, 6 lighted tennis courts, walking and fitness trails, a nature trail, and an 18 hole miniature golf course($2). About 650 kids there for 8 weeks(summer camp).
