Been shooting here for over a year. Range is nice, clean, and has good digital readout targets so you can practice at specific distances. Lots of available guns to rent as well as ammo to purchase. Fantastic selection of gear, safes, pistols, rifles, shotguns, etc. Staff is friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back again!

There are a lot of kooky people in the Charlotte area who go to gun ranges. Many of them who bash going ranges, expect something for nothing and don't have the means to afford shooting in a gun range. I'm tired of seeing these gun ranges getting beat up by people who want to be victims. Read the details of the Groupon people. It clearly states $30 for each individual person. Don't show up with one Groupon and two people because the second person will get charged the regular rate which is more expensive. Instead buy a Groupon for each person, that include your kids. I myself have never purchased a Groupon to any gun range. I have always paid full price at this range and felt it was well worth the cost. Not only do you get a state-of-the-art shooting range and equipment, everyone there is knowledgeable and specializes in a certain type of firearm. It seems in this area if you're nice to people they go out of their way to help you. I am sure the complainers about this Range have the same experience everywhere they go. This is a fantastic gun range, and a great place for newcomers especially families and women to shoot for the first time. I highly recommend this gun range and continue to purchase thousands of dollars of guns ammunition and services. From one business owner to another, this place is run as well as any in the state. Me and a friend were looking to buy new hand guns and after finding they had both we were looking for in stock we decided to get a Groupon voucher 30.00 that was to be good for two people 20 percent off two boxes of ammo unlimited time on the range. Three people total went to shoot we got 3 boxes of ammo. 2 gun rentals and 1 target. MY check out went pretty well is you don't count the fact that they charge 16.79 for 9 mm and 17.59 for 380 reload ammo. That is after 20 percent off. We had 4 misfires on the 380 use there rental and 7 on the 9mm. There was no way I was going to put there ammo through my firearms. On check out they tried to charge me and my friend for all the ammo , the 2 firearms and one target that was to be with the Groupon. They did end up charging my friend for my steep daughter. That I did not know till after we left. The trip end up costing us well over 150 dollars for a hour at the range for 3 people to shoot 100 rounds. Needless to say they lost out on over 1000 dollars in sells. I'll just drive 15 min father to Point black range where I can shoot all day for under 10 dollars a person and bring my own ammo.

Compared to other indoor ranges, this range is superior in terms of safety procedures, environmentialy clean (TMJ ammo required), and rental firearm selection. There is also a good selection of new firearms for sale as well as accessories. There are a number of classes provided as well as weekly events, as well as a simulator room for special training. The staff is friendly and knowledgable.

It was all good until we got the bill!In summary, Shooting a 22 calib. pistol (100 rounds) for 30 minutes cost $70 (Seventy Dollars)Any way you explain it; that's not reasonable.Upon signing in and with a Groupon, we were told one set of conditions. Upon leaving, all that changed. Buyers beware!Of all my Trip Reviews written, this is the first attraction ever visited that I felt truly taken advantage of!

A well stocked accessory shop, a good selection of guns to buy, and a plethora of courses offered all go into making the Range and Lake Norman a family favorite. The staff always makes you feel good and explains things thoroughly. Even if you are inexperienced, you are not treated like a dummy.

This newer range has every thing one could want in a shooting range...safe, clean environment, professional, knowledgable staff and quality products. I have taken classes here, rented and purchased equipment, and practiced my skills and have been pleased every time. This range does require TMJ cartridges as compared to with other ranges that allow FMJ. I always purchase them on site as I have never seen them available any where else. The fees are a bit higher than other ranges I've visited in the area but there is an obvious difference in the environment that, for myself, is worth it.

Its a very good shooting range for all lake norman and near by folks. They have a broad variety of long and short range guns available.The rent is little on the higher side and dont have something like hourly options, but still is good.Staff is courteous and helpful. Being a newbie I had quite a few questions, but they answered everything patiently. Would definitely recommend it for good fun.
