Having shopped all over the world, I find NMG one of the best fine craft galleries everywhere. It has something for everybody, from lovely mountain crafts with a more traditional flavor to cutting edge art, furnishings and such. It's HUGE and has a great selection. I make a beeline for it the moment I get to Nashville. The staff is helpful and the store is very customer oriented. If you have mobility issues, you might want to check with them before you go to see if they have an elevator. I'm not sure. If I were furnishing a brand new house, I would go to NMG and purchase as much from them as possible. I cannot recommend it too highly.

...this place has it all. Whenever I need a kick in my creative duff, I make a trip to New Morning Gallery for a whiff of artful sense. They have an incredible variety of everything: pottery, stemware, beds, wall art, mirrors, jewelry, and so much more - and the best part? It is all handmade here in the USA! It is nothing like these heavily commercialized import stores. The displays are thoughtful and inspirational, and well, it's just a classy art gallery you must see to believe. I also found out today that for locals, they will allow you to take home a potential purchase and "try it on" for a few days -- FREE! All they do is take your credit card number in case you decide to make a run for it. The personal service is incredible. This is a must see whether you have lived here for 100 years, or just breezing through. You'll be mesmerized from the time you enter through the door.

Decided to window shop in Biltmore Village after being snowed in for 5 days. This shop is a must see. Be prepared to buy something. Many must haves in this great shop. Not just for tourists.

It's like an event, there is so much to see so plan to spend at least an hour and some $$$ too. We purchased several pieces from them and have always been satisfied. The staff is friendly and helpful and the inventory is always awesome.

New Morning Gallery takes the approach of "art for the home" in its selections. It is quite large and deserves a lot of time strolling through the multiple rooms showing everything from jewelry and clever household tchotchkes to found object art, paintings and a lot of interesting furniture. The selection tends more toward excellent examples of craft than fine art but within that range, what they have is interesting and superbly made. There is a huge price range as well so it has turned out to be a favorite place to shop for unique gifts. Check out the Bacon Cookers if you go.Staff is very friendly and helpful and the space is fun to amble through even if you aren't in a buying frame of mind.

Lots of great items at all prices in the biltmore village. I always bring any out of town friends and family to this gallery.

One of a kind pieces. Pretty steep prices. A must see when in Asheville. The best gallery in town. Nothing else like it.

I married an Asheville girl, she has an eye for stretching a dollar that helped us here retire early. Now she's a retired art teacher, and whenever we host guests from out of town the first thing shopping venue she recommends is a visit to this great shop. Even the guys will be entertained and amused, plus you're in the heart of the number one tourist destination in the USA, so enjoy! We like it so much we live here.

Aside from the Southern Highlands Craft Guild on the Parkway, New Morning is a great gallery. They have it all ... small inexpensive items to handcrafted furniture that costs a month's mortgage. Wonderful staff, beautiful items ... a must-see when you're in Biltmore Village.

My fiancé and I stopped in on a whim while in Asheville. There are some simply beautiful pieces for just about any style! We found some reasonably priced unique gifts. It's not your typical shoppe!I would go back in a heartbeat!

The New Morning Gallery (which We often incorrectly call the New Moon Gallery) impressed me over 30 years ago, so much so that I insisted we find it when we started coming back to Asheville for visits. I loved the unique and plentiful arts and crafts there, and it is a much larger facility now, with something for everyone. Prices vary, so you can find the whole range, but they seem fair, especially when you compare to other local galleries. We have never gotten out of the gallery without purchasing something. And usually more than just something! It's worth just the visit, however, because you get to see the beautiful creations of talented artists of all kinds. nd the helpful staff do NOT bother you if you just want to look. Make this a MUST-DO on your Asheville itinerary.

We enjoyed visiting this gallery. There was a plethora of various artwork including furniture, pottery, lamps, candles, paintings, and many more unusual pieces. One of the best galleries I have ever visited. Nicely displayed, and plenty of people around to answer questions or help in any way.

I always find unique art here. It is a very well organized gallery filled with local art and non local artwork. It is in a great location with parking adjacent to the building. We always stop in when visiting Asheville.
