lola's olas

My wife and I wanted to learn to standup paddleboard (SUP), and had heard great things about Jace at Lola's Olas. We set up a lesson with him in the evening, and had an amazing time from start to finish. Jace met us at the OIB public boat launch, and after a quick introduction, we were in the water on our paddleboards. It only took a few minutes, and we were standing up, getting the hang of how to balance and maneuver the board. Jace's knowledge and laid back personality made it a fun, easy-going atmosphere the whole time. We went down the intercoastal and in some of the inlets between houses. Although we had some near spills, neither my wife or I fell in the entire time. We have never surfed or had any previous experience with anything similar, so I'd recommend if you're interested, give it a shot! Jace provided all necessary equipment, and we just showed up in bathing suits and flip flops. It was the highlight of our time in OIB, and we can't wait to do it again this summer.
