riverpark at cooleemee falls

Such a wonderful place to go and just enjoy a day of fun at the river. Lots of places to explore. It is also a beautiful place to just sit and enjoy the view of the falls.

On a day that had a 50/50 chance of Rain the wife and I traveled to Cooleemee NC and the River walk park at Cooleemee Falls. There is what they call the Bull Hole. Nice easy walk down the Trail from the parking lot and bathrooms to the river and a big river sandy Beach and a Rocky/dam waterfall. Trails kept clean and nice picnic tapes and benches along the way. Once at the river places for the kids to play. NO LIFE GUARD and warnings for the PUBLIC to follow. Hiking trail and Maybe Hiking stick required. Slick Rocks near water. shoes required. Always bring a camera for the adventure!
