Restaurant week is the best for trying new places and this one might just be a new favorite. First of all Sutton Station is awesome - I love Nantucket Grill and Bocci, but this place has a lot going on!There was a birthday/karaoke party going on and people were having a seriously good time. They weren't half bad either - I was about to hit the American Idol team up. Iggy's "I'm so Fancy" even made an appearance. I was a little worried when we walked in because there was a sign on the door about appropriate attire and we had jeans on, but I think it has a classy bar feel to it so they just didn't want baseball hats and what not. The Duke game was on and people were excited about that so there was a good amount of noise but we were in the side room and I felt that it was set up well for more serious diners and less of the athletic/karaoke crowd. Overall, the food was great! The plating could definitely use some work (although our desserts looked beautiful and tasted amazing). The service was a bit slow because, well, it's restaurant week and I guess the kitchen got messed up, but the manager came out and bought us a round so that was very generous. They made sure we were well taken care of and even though it was a 2 1/2 hour dinner, we had a great time and will be back.Highlights:- My husband said the salmon was the best he'd ever tasted with a spicy chili sauce and rice with cilantro- My pasta primavera was really fresh and the chicken was delicious - I feel like usually in pasta dishes the chicken is gross, but this was really yummy!- The berry sorbet was my favorite but we also tried the apple tart and chocolate torte which were super tasty with caramel and berry sauce respectively- Lots of music/entertainment options and specials throughout the weekLowlights:- The empanadas were a little disappointing in terms of the small proportion - The hummus had raw garlic in it so it was REALLY strong, but still tasty
My mom had the kids and my husband and I went out for a quick retreat and this was a great place to do it. Not too fancy, but definitely a place to feel like an adult human being again. The food was excellent, portions were big, and the wait staff and others were extremely attentive and pleasant. Can't wait to do it again!
My wife and I are very picky when it comes to dining out. We rarely frequent a restaurant more than once per month, 5850 is the exception. We LOVE everything about this place, the entertainment, the service, the drinks from the bar but especially the service staff. They appreciate our business and make us feel very welcome. Keep up the good work!
I have mostly enjoyed Dinner and participated in KARAOKE and that was outstanding. The owners and staff go out there way to keep customer s happy!
I loved the food, but was most impressed by the waiters/waitresses treatment. They were very friendly and personable.
The staff is awesome and the food is even better. Try the wings and great crispy fresh salads. Wonderful place to explore 'Low Carb' or special order options.
My wife and I have eaten at 58Fifty three times over the last 6 months. We've consistently gotten relatively large portions of very flavorful food delivered with a smile by super friendly waiters. They also have a good craft beer selection. Highly recommended.
My wife and I were looking for a late night local place to eat on a recent Saturday evening. Not many good options past 10. Having been a semi regular when this place was the Sunset Grill we thought we'd give the new version a try. First we were glad to find out that their full menu was available at 11pm. Second we were were warmly greeted and welcomed at the special Karaoke night. I had their locally raised burger and a side of delicious green beans and my wife had their terrific grilled cheese. The burger was excellent served on a brioche bun. And I got to taste the grilled cheese--two cheeses avocado and tomato. Wow. Really good. Topped off with a craft beer and great service to go with lots of fun music with a great local vibe. I'll be back for sure!!
58Fifty is a great place to go and relax, especially on Friday evenings when Jim and his band, The Daddy Oh's, are playing. The band plays a lot of great music; old, new, country, whatever you desire. The food at 58Fifty is very good. My wife says that the Bistro Grilled Cheese sandwich, featuring american, cheddar, and provolone cheeses, along with bacon and avocado is the best grilled cheese sandwich she has ever had. Last night I had the Black N' Blue Flatbread which has sliced sirloin, caramelized onions, blue cheese, and a balsamic glaze, for my entree, although it is listed as a starter, and it was plenty of food and quite delicious. I would highly recommend 58Fifty Bistro & Martini Bar.
