Throughout the entire year there is something growing and worth seeing at the gardens. They are just beautiful and make a great place to take visitors for some fresh air and a walk in a tranquil setting.
beautiful, well maintained garden for picnic and to be with friends and kids.Clean and awesome scenic view.
Highly recommend going during the spring to see all the colors of the flowers. It is a very large area so take your time and enjoy the view.
Every visit is a new experience. Always amazing how things are planted for the seasons. Be sure and see the Japanese gardens.
There is no admission fee, but in peak school hours they charge for parking otherwise there would be no parking. North Carolina has more flowering trees than anywhere I know of. If you manage to time it in Spring when they are blooming it is awe inspiring.
It's a lovely garden walking distance from Duke University Medicine Circle. The fish pond with water lily is the highlight. It's a great place to take a slow stroll and enjoy the quiet and peace. The place is nicer in spring, summer and fall than the winter.
beautiful gardens and water features, wildlife. Turtles, ducks, geese, many birds and fish. Walking trails, picnic areas.
Beautiful gardens, perfect place to have a picnic lunch, spend times with the children and just enjoy nature.
You can walk around in this beautiful setting seeing natural fauna and some in which the duke gardeners work tiressly to maintain seasonal beauty! You can play, picnic, hang out with friends or take some beautiful photographs in and around the gardens! Lovely way to just get fresh air and enjoy natures beauty!
Great in any season but spectacular when azaleas are blooming. Just a wonderful place to relax and get in touch with nature.
A lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature. I have been going here since I was born! It is always different depending on time of year. Great for solo visits, couples or families!
Beautiful area, great place for a quiet stroll and relaxing visit. Parking easy and walking was bit up and down hill on a gravel path (no so good for wheelchairs) but a lovely afternoon in a peaceful place
Best place to take your visiting friends and family for a leisure stroll. Every season is different and every time there is something new and beautiful is blooming.
Lovely to walk around in these gardens with all kinds of unusual and interesting plants. Ponds are also lovely.
Very beautiful in the spring and fall, midsummer is a little too hot. The gardens cover a large area, great to explore with children or a quiet retreat on your own or with friends. Be prepared to walk.
