I'm here at the Lerner for a Bill Engvall Concert and I am in nose bleed section which is what I got from groupon and the seat is not that bad and can still see the stage good. My only complaint is the cold air blowing on me. I am freezing! It is Febuary and they have the air on.
I have been here approximately five times since the renovation. It is a beautiful and classy place. Highly recommended for any performance. The facilities to rent are superb as well but they can be quite costly. I like it here for shows.
We saw a Christmas show at the theater and were very impressed. You can see all the upgrades and remodeling that has been done over the years. Very nice and convenient. Great to see communities investing in things like this that bring culture to the area. Wish they attracted more talent and had more events during the year. I would definitely go more often.
I have had the privilege of attending several performances at the Lerner. Such a variety of national and local talent, always professional and on time. I have never been disappointed at this beautiful venue. you can't go wrong.
It's like stepping back in time when you visit this gorgeous landmark in Elkhart. The theater is a beautiful place to see a play, watch a movie, see a concert...whatever. The venue makes it an experience. It is a blessing to a town like Elkhart. A Must See!!
Visiting from out of town for four days and happened to see an ad for Music Takes Flight with Cirque de la Symphonie. SO glad we were able to fit this into our plans as it was the highlight of the trip for both of us! Incredible show for just $20! Amazing what the performers were able to do in such a small (beautiful!) space. I can't believe the orchestra could even concentrate! Kudos for a great show, which we would see again in a heartbeat! Signage and "will call" could use some work, but it was otherwise great and we were very happy to have FREE convent parking available.
I heard it took $16 million to renovate this classic theater, and it shows. Gorgeous multi-purpose facility with great banquet and meeting capabilities in addition to the theater. Beautiful place to walk through.
We go often to symphony concerts, silent movies with amazing theatre organ accompaniment, and other performances. It is a beautiful historic theatre with a ballroom for special events also.
Went to see Hairspray this past Sunday, best show we have seen recently. Ths actors we wonderful and sang their hearts out. Wonderful old theater that has been reconditioned.
With its new renovations, the Lerner has really put itself at the top for elegance and grandeur. The entire exterior and interior are intricately done with grace and perfection, and the scenery will really impress you. The theater is really lovely and hosts a variety of shows, plays, and musical numbers. We hope to see more as time goes on - maybe some larger names. This is definitely a must see when visiting the Elkhart area.
This is a first class facility. It is very comfortable and the sound is very good. We have seen several productions and it has always been a quality experience.
My wife and I saw The Moody Blues here. The ambience of this theater is very nice. It takes you back in time. The acoustics for a live show is excellent. We would definitely come back again.
The Lerner has been exquisitely restored to its orginal glory, plus!We attended a silent movie/live organ event. It was absolutely a thrill. The organist was a master who scored the entire film from 1924. What a treat1 They'll be doing another silent movie/organ presentation in September. Don't miss it.
Ok, we booked this night out with the kids thinking it would be a nice chance to see the theater and an old fashioned film. It started with an hour and a half organ concert!! We were just about asleep by the time he broke for intermission! It was about an hour and 15 minutes too long. We would happily have paid the admission for the movie only. The theater is beautiful, the employees are nice, but if you are not a huge organ music buff skip it.
This restored theatre, with the addition of a beautiful ballroom and meeting facility, is a real gem. They do an excellent job hosting meetings, banquets, concerts and theatre productions. The theatre itself is lavishly appointed, comfortable, and has great acoustics. Concert tickets seem to be priced a little high for a smallish town venue, but otherwise this is great facility.
