such elegance, the products used were of high quality and the therapist was skilled exactly what was needed. We shared information and I went away feeling great.

I have been to French Lick many times but this is the first time I had a facial at The Spa. It is a lovely area of the hotel and very relaxing. They have done a beautiful job making this a tranquil spot to relax and unwind. The sauna was nice but not great. My facial was very reasonably priced but the sound system was playing a weird "ocean" sound and it sounded more like a fierce wind blowing across a microphone (very distracting). The lady doing the facial was good but did not ask if I was having any issues and did not offer any advice or suggestions after the facial was complete. Very different as most are very good about informing you about problem areas and the opportunity to sell products. All in all, it was very nice.

This was my first spa experience so I wasn't sure what to expect. I wish I would've arrived earlier to spend more time in the tranquility room. However, I enjoyed my relaxing facial with Lisa. She explained everything she did but didn't talk too much! My face was so soft afterwards. I gave it 4 stars because I wasn't too impressed with the girls working in the front, who checked me in and out. They weren't as professional as I would've liked and were talking too loud. Other than that, I would recommend this spa.

The decor creates a relaxing environment. The service was void of any pampering. The are overpriced and even more so when the quality is taken into account. The service was rushed, hot stones "burned" due to the temperature, and the therapists technique / ability was poor. I went with another person who had the same experience. I have massages regularly and I would rate the massage service at Frenchlick spa one of the worst.

I have been here several times. Each therapist definitely has their own style; but most times I have been pleased with the massages. Very clean, professional. The one thing I notice this time, the therapist did not use much massage oil/lotion. Afterwards I observed a small black "condiment cup". I am guessing it's the spas form of "cost control"- limiting how much the therapists can use. It wasn't enough though! Also, I asked about peppermint oil, just a touch under your face when you are face down really opens your sinuses- but none available. Other than "the little things" that make a big difference it was a good experience. For the cost though, they should provide the extra pampering touches!

I had the mineral bath and volcanic mineral wrap. Mark the attendant skillfully applied the wrap and entertained me with history of the hotel. I forgot to book ahead and made my reservation two days before. Available times were limited but it turned out to beneficial to have a half hour between my mineral bath and wrap. My spa robe lacked a belt. I did not inquire about getting a belt but a staff member must have overheard my comment because while I was waiting in the tranquility room they brought me a belt. Fruit, teas, coffee and cold water are available in the tranquility room while you wait. The chairs are quite comfortable and I dozed off between treatments. My husband had a mineral bath too and he felt the bath was clean and properly staffed.

We stayed at WBSH to celebrate a birthday. There were four ladies in our group. We booked the room 8 weeks prior to our arrival and at that time I inquired about booking dinner and spa reservations. I was told I would definitely need reservations, but it was safe to wait 2-3 weeks prior to arrival to book treatments. Three weeks prior to arrival I called to book appointments for all of us and was told they could not accommodate a group of four women at the same time at any time over the 2 days we would be there. I offered to split us into groups of 2 and still, they were not able to accommodate us at the same time for multiple services. After a brief meltdown on the phone, I managed to book appointments on both Friday evening and Saturday morning for half of our group. We arrived Friday evening for two Swedish massage appointments. We were shown to the locker room and given instructions on how to use the lockers, shown where changing rooms were as well as bathrooms and showers, the sauna and the tranquility room. Best orientation of a locker room I've had. We had a little trouble with some of the lockers, but after trying 4 different lockers, we managed to get two that seemed to lock and unlock without issue. We spent some time in the tranquility room relaxing and chatting waiting for our therapists. My sister had an awesome therapist - who not only had great techniques, but also was able to make her comfortable and feel relaxed at the same time. I ended up with a new male technician. I've had better massages, and only ever had one that I would say was worse. Not only was he inexperienced, his technique was a little odd. The foot and leg massage was fine - but the back, neck and shoulder massage was the worst I've gotten. Saturday, we went back over for our body scrubs. We had appointments at 9AM on Saturday, which seemed to be the first appointment times. The technicians broke all of us that were waiting into two groups and took us to the locker room. There were 5 or 6 of us taken back at the same time. Aside from the locker orientation, no one was told about the showers, the sauna or the changing room. So, people were a little confused and tripping over top of one another. My sister ended up with the same technician for her scrub that she had for her massage the previous night - once again she had an amazing experience. I had a different technician than the previous day - and she was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our body scrubs and would definitely repeat that part of the experience over and over again. The only other issue I had was with the cleaning/assistant woman in the spa. Whether it's an operational procedural problem or an individual employee problem - she was always in the way! We came out from body scrubs and needed to shower - but the cleaning person was in the middle of cleaning both showers at the same time. There was clearly some tension between the therapists and the cleaning person, as the cleaning person wanted to finish her job, while the technicians wanted her to stop so we could rinse off. Later, the same cleaning person was trying to restock the lockers with robes and slippers - but she was doing this as all 5 or 6 of us were finished with our appointments and trying to get dressed. She didn't seem to understand that maybe she should wait until we were finished and she insisted on trying to squeeze in and around us.We did purchase a couple of those wonderful spa robes as well as some products that were used during our treatment. Anytime I use my robe or my body soufflé I hope to be transported back to the tranquility room to relive that experience. Though we stayed at WBSH, I would definitely visit the Spa at French Lick again. It is my understanding that all of the technicians work at both spas, and that WBSH Spa is 10-20% more expensive for most services. Considering the level of service provided by the technicians - I don't see the point in spending the additional funds to use the other spa if all your paying for is the more upscale venue.

Went for a sports massage and a Pluto mineral bath. Found the massage to just be okay, but for that price at $140 and only 50 minutes, I would have expected a great massage. The massage therapists was a bit hurried through the session and was not that good. Overall, I was disappointed in the service. Bath was just ok as well. The spa area was nice and clean. The staff were nice, but kind of pushed asking for a tip at the end.

The spa area, like the rest of the French Lick Hotel has been refurbished. The services are in a very beautiful setting. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I had chosen the hour Swedish massage and was very happy with the results.

Ver relaxing spa. I felt totally pampered. I had the facial, swedish massage, pedicure and manicure. I felt like jello afterwards. The con...I needed a shower afterwards. I was covered in oil and my hair was oily from the scalp massage.

A very clean place that was comforting but expensive. No steam bath. The pool area is nice with a good hot tub. The fitness center is modern and spacious.

We were on a business trip with three other couples and stayed at the West Baden Hotel on a spa/golf package. Spa appointments were made for West Baden. When we went to check in for spa, we were informed that all appointments were for the French Lick spa. We hurried to check out of West Baden and drove over to the other spa. We had to lug all of our extra bags with us since the plan was to relax and spend the day as our husbands were golfing. Spa treatments were average. I was booked for an aromatherapy message and pedicure. I was not asked what scent I preferred and was quickly under way with treatment. Pedicure was nothing spectacular. Once our treatments were finished we decided to go back to West Baden since the atmosphere there was quieter and less crowded. We checked to make sure we could still use West Baden's spa facilities, but we're told they were too busy. We decided to speak to concierge who referred us to spa manager at West Baden, Ken. Ken made us feel like we were the ones who made the mistake when booking our appointments. Someone should have noticed we were staying at one hotel and treatments were booked at the other. They kept telling us that the facilities were all part of the same family, but the. We weren't allowed to use the other facilities she we were done. Instead of a relaxing day at the spa, our day was spent running between the two, dragging our gear with us and getting the run around from management. Not world class service!

My husband gave me a gift of a massage/mani/pedi back in 2010. It was wonderful!

We stayed in the Spa Wing of the hotel. Love the Spa it was a perfect way to spend Mother's Day Weekend. I love getting pampered at a spa and I was not disappointed here.
